Overall, this is a fantastic gun. The fit and finish are excellent and it has good balance. One thing I was disappointed about was some reviews stated the new Stoeger's came with a picatinny rail like on the .45 model. Mine didn't...not a big deal but it would have been nice to have. The gun shoots flawlessly and has very light recoil (mainly the reason I got the 9mm since my wife will be using it and the fact I already have 3 .40's) I'm not "brand loyal" as I own guns from 7 different manufactures. But having owned Beretta's before, I figured the Stoeger would be a safe buy and I was right. Buds pricing and service was outstanding as usual. The Stoeger Cougar is a great looking, great shooting weapon. Hoping to be able to find a set of rubber grips for it...other than that, this gun rocks!

This is a fantastic pistol! Finally got to get out and shoot it this weekend and I was hitting targets like I've owned the gun for years. The only misfire I had was more than likely user error as I had a friend new to handguns firing it and probably limp wristed it. Other than that I fed through 150 rounds NO PROBLEM! For the price I would highly recommend it. And of course Buds did a fantastic job keeping me up to date on shipping as it was being shipped around the holidays. Thanks guys!

I ordered the Cougar Compact on a Monday and it arrived at my local gun shop on Friday, I cannot say enough about Bud's quick service. I am really pleased with the Cougar. I did a ton of internet research on it before I bought it and I must say it is even better than I had hoped for. I brought it home and cleaned it up and it is truly a beautiful weapon. The fit and finish is perfect, I see no tool marks or blemishes. This gun just feels natural in the hand, I have not been able to fire it yet, that will be this weekend, but I have no doubt it will be great. While researching the cougar my only issue was the lack of a rail on the 9mm and the .40 cal. Well when I opened the case, to my surprise, there was a picatinny rail just like the .45. I think the Cougar might be the best kept secret in the gun community.

This is an Excellent Firearm, Even for concealed carry. Purchased a couple of days ago from the Good guys at Buds. Ran like a champ! No FTF, FTE, Nothing but accurate shots. The rotating barrel design is flawless. This is one of the best firearms I have owned. Thanks Buds I have more orders ahead.

I have had this for a couple of months now and love it. It is as accurate as any comparably sized gun I've shot. I have maybe 150 -200 rounds through it with no failures whatsoever. The fit and finish seems to be every bit as good as it's Beretta Cougar counterpart. This is as small of a 9MM that I would want to spend much time at the range with trying to perfect. It's probably a little large and heavy still for conceal carry except maybe in winter, having an alloy frame and steel slide. Some of the newer firearms with polymer frames are much lighter. It is the perfect "carry in the car" gun though. I enjoy the controls familiarity as they are identical as most of my Berettas, ie:92 & PX4 Storm. Bud's and nobody else has them in stock with any regularity, but it's one of the best values on the market right now for around $ 400.00. The magazines are very high quality as are all Beretta magazines and are on sale as of today on their site for $ 24.95. If you could only own one 9MM, this would be a great choice. I'd buy another one, just because they are that good of a value. Bud's price was great and my FFL had it in 2 days.
