The SIG Sauer P229 is a compact, hammer-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered in .40 S&W. This configuration combines a black hard-anodized alloy frame with a stainless steel slide finished in Black Nitron, black E2 polymer grips, and SIGLITE night sights for dependable handling and sight visibility in low-light conditions. Its DA/SA action provides a deliberate double-action first shot followed by a shorter single-action trigger pull for subsequent shots. The factory configuration does not include an accessory rail, optic-ready slide, or threaded barrel.

This was my first Sig...
This was my first Sig and purchase from 'Buds. Needless to say, I was extremely satisfied with the weapon. It was extremely accurate out of the box and the price was reasonable (especially for a Sig Sauer with Night Sights).. However, contrary to the description, mine did not come with E2 grips as advertised, I was content with this though, as I prefer the older grip style (if this was a deal-breaker though, refusal of transfer is always an option as per the company's policy). Furthermore, the weapon only came with one magazine. Included with the weapon though was a postage-paid voucher, from the manufacturer, for a second magazine. I have only put about 150 rounds through it, but have had no hiccups thus far. There is not much more to say about this fine weapon other than that, judging from what I have witnessed so far, it should last many generations with proper care and maintainence.
