Can't find what this pistol is made of.

Randall, unfortunately no, it does not meet the melting point law. Prohibited: Any handgun having a barrel, slide, frame or receiver that has a die casting of zinc alloy or any other non-homogenous metal, which will melt or deform at a temperature of 800 degrees F or less. Prohibited: Cobra, Phoenix Arms, Heritage Arms, Walther rimfire pistols, GSG rimfire pistols, Hi-Point pistols and Jimenez Arms. Stay safe & have a great day!

Is this pistol easy enough for my 80 year old wife to easily pull?

Stephen, I would not recommend this gun. It has too many problems. Due to the magazine-safety interlock, there is an issue many folks have with unloading the gun with a round in the chamber. You have to engage the slide safety to remove the mag, and you can’t disengage the slide safety with the mag out. Since you can’t rack the slide unless the mag is in, and you can’t eject the chambered round without racking the slide–well, you see the problem. . I would recommend the Ruger Security .380. It is designed for use by individuals with diminished physical ability & has a 15+1 capacity. I looked everywhere for a proven .25, but all were outrageously priced or looked like they had been severely been neglected. I recalled the Phoenix Arms HP23A and it met my needs; a simple range gun that was dependable and reasonably priced. Of course, it's known to have an abundance of awkward safeties, but I can live with that insomuch as it provides a great deal of enjoyment. I'm happy that a pistol like this is offered to folks who share the same expectations.

I was not sure what I was getting with the Phoenix Arms HP25A, but once I shot it, I was well pleased! I used different varieties of ammo at the 10 yard line and had had no issues. Buds is always on time with deliveries! I'm very pleased I made the purchase!!!

Boy oh boy! Great pocket pistol for those who want to conceal and keep it outta sight. Ran 100 rounds of Bronze PMC and it handles perfectly. One thing I didn’t like is the magazine reloading process which is a @!$&*# so get a holder lol. Other wise great gun! Got it after a bull California 10 day wait but for only $180 total, ain’t bad.
