Whenever I purchase anything substantial I look for value before name brand. This is especially true for anything that might be called into service protecting my family or putting food on the table. So when I decided to purchase my first AR-15 I did my due diligence. After extensive research I found that the Palmetto State Armory M4 was pound-for-pound dollar-for-dollar one of the best AR's on the market. PSA gives you a lot of features found in more expensive AR's, especially the 1:7 barrel that's needed for heavier bullet accuracy. So I pulled the trigger...literally. The weapon has turned out to be everything I had hoped for. Out the box I was pleased with the fit and finish...top shelf. After thorough inspection to ensure no damage or apparent defects I mounted a Magpul pop-up rear on it, stuffed some cheap ammo in the mag, and took it out back to run it through its paces. After a few clicks I had it zero'd in. The rifle functioned flawlessly. Single shot, double taps, rapid fire...it ate the cheap ammo without missing a beat. No FTF or FTE. I can't wait to mount some optics on it and move back a bit. If you're looking for a great AR at an affordable price, be sure to give the PSA M4 a strong look.

1st time buyer through Buds. Very smooth transaction, ordered Friday morning, rifle was here Monday! Very fast!!! The.PSA m4 ORC is a lot of rifle for the price. MP/HP barrel and bolt tested, m4 feed ramps, staked gas block, m16 bcg. This rifle IS mil-spec. Can't comment on how it performs on the range, I haven't took it out to shoot it. But for the price on initial look over it's good to go. Upper and lower fit tight, nice rifle!!
