if you want the best you have to pay for it. This is the best AK 7.62.39 on the market at the present time, period. It takes standard AK magazines, my Russian metal ones are a perfect fit. Great trigger and great shooter! The warsaw pact stock is just right for me. For those larger guys with long arms, buy a new stock.

Awesome rifle! A little on the pricey side but as the saying goes you get what you pay for and I now have in my possesion a sweet Bulgarian made milled receiver AK! Thank you Buds for such a gem of a rifle!

This Bad Boy is awesome. Until my favorite company Sarsilmaz comes up with an AK47 System I will stick to Arsenal. This is a quality shooting system. Accepted Thermold mags like they were suppose to be there. I LOVE THIS RIFLE. QUALITY THROUGH AND THROUGH. check out my website for pistols and shotguns. Glock and Sig Sauer quality without the bite in your wallet. www.sararmsfan.com Thanks Buds. Your service is great. Chris and Timothy are an asset to your company.

Holy smokes!! I ordered Tuesday and had it on Thursday! The rifle is EXACTLY as described. As a matter of fact, this is the cleanest rifle I have bought...no exceptions...I really could have went and fired this and had no issues. It seemed like it was already cleaned. I have no complaints at all. I haven't had a chance to fire it, but I suspect that this will be my primary assault rifle for practicing, even over my AR....ammo is cheaper and this thing looks like a tank could run over it and it would still run fine. I am not an expert on AK's, but based on the what I have seen, it sure seems like what you pay for is what you get when it comes to AK's. Curse you buds..I am sure I will find something else on your awesome site that I will convince myself I need!!! lol...Thanks again!!!

I bought this rifle because of its reputation. Everything is well built and functions great. However, the small mount that holds the gas tube under the barrel had small amounts of rust on it when I picked it up. Being brand new, this is kind of rediculous. Anyway, I just cleaned it myself and coated it with some nail polish so the corrosion didn't come back. Beside the miniscule amount of rust, I love it. The rust is the only reason for my rating of 4 which would have otherwise been 5.

After reading lots of reviews i decided this was the gun i wanted. i was a little aprehensive going ine, but within minutes of getting it i could tell it was a solid firearm. I read a few reviews that said clips wouldnt fit. I have a few different brands and all fit well. Overall very pleased.

First off, Buds is great. Easy transaction which makes a big difference. The rifle is nice. Quality built. Ive fired about 400 rounds with no issues. 30 rd. Maadi steel mags fit like a glove and 40 rd. Romanian fit good with a bit of wobble. My only issue is with the length of the butt stock. A bit short and no easy way to replace with a collapsable stock because of the milled reciever. The finish does leave little to be desired but I expected that with most of the reviews I have read online. I plan to Cerakote anyway. Overall very pleased with the rifle.

when i got it in ,i took it out of the box and noticed right away the good quality of the gun.I actually noticed the model number was a little different .Instead of SLR101-13 .It says SLR101s.I dont know if there is a difference ,because the email i sent asking hasnt been answered yet.But i have shot it and it truly is a great gun all around. It seems a little heavier than some ive shot ,but the extra weight helps the recoil and for me makes it easier to hold steady. So i definately would recommend this gun to anyone .

This is my first purchase from Buds, and they did a great job answering my questions. I received this rifle just under a week after completing payment after doing a layaway. The rifle has great mechanical working, with a rail smooth action. It is my first Milled AK, and it looks beautiful out of the box, even with a spray paint finish.. The butt stock is slightly short being a Warsaw Pact rather than Nato version, but that isn't a deal breaker for me. At the range yesterday it took some practice getting it zeroed in. One note, the 10 round magazine it came in wouldn't chamber with 10 rounds, only 9. Initially the rifle shot high and to the left while rested, but once I compensated and readjusted the sights, it began getting more consecutive groups. One strange thing was that I had better accuracy and more consistent grouping from standing shots than from rested. Average groups standing seemed to be 1.5 to 2 inches from about 60-70 yards. With a bit more practice and sighting in, I think it could be a 1.5 to 2 inch MOA rifle, as other reviews have noted. To the reviewer who said it wouldn't fit standard magazines, that was not my experience. Arsenal Circle 10s worked fine, as did Chinese magazines. The only magazine that gave any issue was the 10 rounder that came with it. I'm happy with this purchase and will certainly buy from Buds again.

Pro: Milled, Accurate, Reliable, and High Quality Con: Lower stock tang screw placement, Strong Solvents may wear finish (not experienced but well documented) use only approved cleaner. Summary: I love this gun. If you are on the fence about getting a Milled AK then get the SLR101-13 and you wont be disappointed. Deeper Review: The fit and finish of the SLR101-13 is on par with what I would expect from Arsenal. Despite being shipped up the east coast during Hurricane Sandy the rifle arrived in perfect condition thanks to an excellent packing job. On the un-boxing it is worth noting that the rifle itself was stamped with the model SLR101S rather than the SLR101-13 listed on the box but fits double stack magazines. When considering a Milled VS Stamped receiver AK there is much left to shooter preference to make the final call. The main criticisms of the milled receiver AK rest on the rifle being heavier and heating more quickly than its stamped receiver counterparts. In regards to the SLR101-13 rifle I found the extra weight, while noticeable, a non-issue even at extended shooting sessions of 500+ rounds. I would argue that the rifle is so well balanced that the added weight reduces the recoil felt by the shooter when compared to other 7.62x39 rifles and helped in placing quick and accurate followup shots. The heating of the receiver seems to me to be a non-issue with this rifle (or any non full auto) and seemed to heat and cool just as well as my Colt 6920. In my sessions with the SLR101-13 I used both Double Stack Bulgarian Waffle circle 10 and new military surplus metal magazines using a variety of steel cased ammo (Tula, Wolf Pro, Wolf Mil, Brown/silver/Gold Bear) at 50m, 100m, and 200m using only iron sights only. This AK shot every round put in it irrespective of the magazines used. The fit to the receiver of the all the magazines was perfect with zero wobble. The only issues stemmed from the magazine release being initially difficult to activate when using the new military surplus metal magazines with a out of the box rifle. As the rifle and magazine were broken in and paint wore off (of the magazine) the issue disappeared. This would likely only appear when a new rifle and new military surplus magazine are matched. In my case it resulted in a minor cut on my thumb as my rifle blooded its new owner. The rifle performed with a surprising elegance and grace rarely discussed when talking about AK accuracy using iron sights. Once I got accustomed to the sight every round I send down the barrel hit paper at all three ranges right out of the box with no adjustments of any kind needed. The trigger was crisp and smooth with zero slapping. One of the few criticisms I have for the gun is that the milled receiver lower stock tang screw placement is such that when the riffle is gripped high on the pistol grip one of the hex screws rests on the first thumb knuckle. After an extended session this caused some rubbing/bruising which could be addressed with gloves, change in grip, or minimal modification engineering. Shooting this rifle was a pure pleasure and put a grin on my face for the rest of the day every time I have shot it. This milled AK feels and performs like a quality rifle should. Given that other Arsenal Milled AK's are in the $1500 to $2000+ range this is a steal. I shot this along side my Colt 6920 and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. I would purchase another without hesitation.
