Nice looking gun. But the slide is very difficult to rack.

Great gun, very accurate, no malfunctions, very well made. Had a gold cup one time and this taurus is its equal in accuracy and feel. I highly recommend it and taurus products. I also have a pt709 slim that is very well made also.

Taurus firearms are great! I purchased this after getting the most inexpensive 1911 on the market which is the Taurus 1911 parkerized. Be aware that only 4 mags will work with this gun... Mec Gar, Wilson Combat, Chip McCormick and stock Taurus. This gun needs upward pressure from the mags. I was told this from the factory when I called. That aside, I shoot against guns costing twice the price and win. You cannot get all the gunsmithing done to ALL stock Taurus 1911's without paying 2-3x as much. Point of aim on both of mine are spot on right out of the box. Trigger pull has a little takeup but a smooth break (about 4 lbs.). After I beat guys with Kimbers I let them try this and they are amazed at how little I spent to get the same performance.The polished stainless is just a pretty bonus. Buy this one, you won't regret.

Really nice gun, to add to my 1911 collection. Fit and finish very good, it appears that Taurus has come a long way from earlier years. I used to dislike Taurus because of the fit and finish. No more, they make the grade. Not up to Colt, Para, or Springfield quality, but close. The only real negative is the plastic grips that were over torqued, but I added some wood grips and the gun looks great. For the price, Para or Desert Eagle 1911 is a better gun. Speaking as an engineer, this is my opinion alone.

This 1911 is a very well made weapon. Never sell Taurus short these people know how to build guns, and a reasonable price one can afford. I'm totally satisfied with it. It shoots as good as any of my other 1911 45's. This is a great price, probably the best you can find. I take my hat off to Bud Guns. This only my second order from Buds, and it will not be my last. Everything is as Buds said it would be. five star rating here. It's a pleasure dealing with a company that says what it is going to do and follows through. This is a rare find in this day and age. Again thank you Bud's. Please express my sincere thanks to your employees for their dedicated hard work for making Budsgunshop what it is.

I own several 1911 pistols from a number of manufacturers. I have never really taken Taurus seriously perhaps because of their reputation of building cheap guns in the 1970s and 80s. But for the price I thought I would give this 1911 a try. Boy was I surprised. The fit and finish rivals guns costing twice as much. The trigger is bar none the best factory trigger of any 1911 I own. The polished stainless steel shows every fingerprint and speck of dust but it cleans up very nicely with very little effort. I would highly recommend this gun to anyone who wants a good quality 1911 for an incredible price. And of course I cant say enough about Buds Guns Shop. They make buying guns such a pleasant experience and I never wonder if I got a good deal.
