*This Covert Carry Kit is for Direct Impingement systems only.

AR15CCK COVERT CARRY AR15 KIT (CONVERSION KIT ONLY) - This is a "no tools required", barrel changing system, designed to work on your current AR15 rifle/carbine.

The system is designed to use a low-profile gas block, and allows your AR15 to be broken down into three major components, for quick barrel changes, as well as covert concealment (DISCREET CARRY), or storage. A 16-inch barreled AR15, with a collapsible stock, red dot sight, and two 30 rd. mags. can be carried in a standard briefcase (case not included) . Full assembly and loading to firing condition can be accomplished in less than 30 seconds, with ease. This conversion replaces the existing barrel nut and fore end. Kit includes: QC (Quick Change) Barrel nut and lock plate, a 12-inch free float fore-end, fore-end lock ring, all made from 6061 T6 Aircraft aluminum, and black anodized.  Multiple barrel systems require an additional Lock Plate for each barrel, which must be purchased separately. All this is accomplished for a third of the cost of similar systems.  Normal change out of an AR15 barrel requires several specialized tools, a vise, and about 30-45 minutes to accomplish. This system requires a one-time replacement of the original barrel nut with the QC barrel nut, and then barrel change out is done with hands only in less than 30 seconds. Gunsmith installation is recommended for initial conversion, however, most anyone with basic mechanical skills, and the proper tools can accomplish the task in less than an hour.

These will only fit Mil-spec Receivers.  They will not fit on the Bushmaster Carbon 15 Rifles.

Once conversion is completed, deployment is simple:

1. Open the bolt, and insert the barrel into the upper receiver. While holding the barrel into the upper receiver, release the bolt.

2. Remove the fore-end tube from the briefcase and slide it over the barrel and screw tightly onto the barrel nut.

3. Extend the stock, chamber a cartridge, and your AR is ready for action.

Lifetime Guarantee on the modification kit

** Includes AR15CCK quick change barrel kit....BRIEFCASE AND FIREARM ARE NOT INCLUDED !!

I ordered a second AR-15 covert kit. For those who are wondering.. it is very simple to install. One fellow wrote that removing his front sight was a bear. Yes, depending on who originally assembled your toy. I wish they had a shorter hand guard so that I could keep the iron sights or install a modified iron site. My personal preference. Other wish is that I would have like a steel barrel nut but this does work. I did not like the fact that when disassembled the hand guard and barrel and nut flop around and it could bend or damage the gas tube. So I found out they sell a synthetic plug that will hold the barrel and nut firmly in the hand guard when in the case. Or what ever you choose to store it. This has to be done since there is nothing holding the barrel centered once it is off the upper receiver. So, when I received the second order one end of the aluminum hand guard was dented. Since I did not want to pay shipping both ways to correct it I let it go. NO.. it was nicely wrapped. It was not damaged in shipping. Simple to install unless you have a difficult time removing the front sight. But flops around in the hand guard unless you figure out a way of stabilizing it or buy the plastic end caps as I did. Happy with purchase. Recommend you also purchase that plastic plug too.

The install was more than I expected, if you have to remove the front sight/gas block I recommend a gunsmith. I started with a new LMT 14.5" upper. I have the ar15 tools but removing the gas block was a chore, it was really tight. Once I got it off I ended up cutting it down and re-installing it. I have a full machine shop and the gas block was a bitch. The rest of the install was easy and straight forward. I had to use a brake hone to make the barrel slide in and out easier. The set screw for the front hand guard was missing so I had to get one. I took the rifle out to the range the same day, and I removed a eotec sighted in on a Colt 6920 and installed it on the LMT, it was sighted in dead zero. banging steel at 400 yds. I noticed zero accuracy loss with the quick disconnect barrel. After it is all over and done I am very pleased with this product.
