bought this gun and thought it was a good deal until i shot it. shoots low about four inches.

This pistol looks good and feels good in the hand. It is more accurate than me and had no malfunctions at all with wwb and blazer aluminium case ammo, recoil seemed lighter than with a 1911. This is the best deal on an all steel .45ACP pistol!

Received my Witness .45 last week from Buds. Once again, great price fast service and great communication. I've wanted one of these for years, but shied away because of EAA's customer service reputation. To put my mind at ease I paid a few extra bucks to purchase Buds Lifetime warranty and made my purchase. As others have said, this is a real gun, no polymer here. Nor is it a lightweight. The extra weight made shooting this gun a breeze. Very light recoil for a .45acp and surprisingly accurate. Sights are easy to find and probably add to the accuracy. Trigger is very nice out of the box and I expect it will only get better with use. Magazines (I purchased a second) both worked well without a glitch. I've not been able to do any real target work yet, but at 15 yards it was easy to make the 3" steel spinner targets fly. This is a range gun for me and I'm very pleased so far. Thanks Buds!

I have previous experience with the Tanfoglio Witness Match. I was so impressed, with that one I purchased this Witness in blue steel. First of all, props to Buds for (yet another) quick, seamless transaction. I received my firearm in just 3 days. This gun is beautiful and Tanfoglio is the best kept secret in firearms. There are many aftermarket pieces for this pistol available from EAA. After an initial cleaning, my first range trip confirmed my suspicion. This pistol is both dependable and accurate. I fired 100 rounds wthout a single malfunction. This gun is SA/DA but does allow for cocked and locked carry, similar to a 1911, thanks to the manual thumb safety on the frame and the firing pin safety. This pistol is intended for concealed carry and I do carry it, typically in SA mode. Bottom line? This gun is a bargain and I highly recommend it for lawful carry, for plinking or as a range gun. There's probably another one in my future. Thanks again Buds.

Wanted an inexpensive all steel 45...and as usual, item was quickly rec'd from Buds...I was kinda apprehensive ordering this particular 45 but after 300 flawless rounds, a mixture of FMJ and hollow points, I must say I was really truly amazed and satisfied...it is hefty but that is exactly what I wanted....very easy to take-down and clean...I am ordering another before the word gets around and the price goes up....

For anyone wondering, this is a full size, all steel, blued (not the wonder finish) .45 witness. It has the newer style plastic grips and a front accessory rail under the barrel. Gun looks nice and Buds as always was quick and easy to work with. I haven't had an opportunity to shoot it yet so this review may change after I take it to the range, but I don't expect there to be any problems. I've got 3 witnesses and have not had a problem with any of them and actually shoot better with them, due to their design, than with any other handguns I own. For the money (425.00), there isn't a nicer 10 round .45 out there, in my opinion. This is a full size steel frame pistol though and would not be a good choice for concealed carry due to it's size and weight. It does hold 10 +1 rounds of 45 acp though, and with the accessory rail for a light would make a perfect home defense handgun. Since buds has magazines for it for less than what EAA charges, I went ahead and ordered a few of them as well.
