Cheap rifle for the occasional hunter/shooter. Would not recommend for serious shooters

Not a fan of this. Bought it several years ago was sighting in the scope on the rifle for the first time shooting it. After the 3rd round, the trigger and trigger guard which is all plastic broke rendering the rifle inoperable. After a month of so battle with Remington, they sent a replacement (again plastic) which I had to install. Haven't fired the rifle since, unfortunately the value of the rifle has declined and difficult to sell. Remington went cheap.

I found I did not like the fit for me. I have short arms and fingers. I also questioned how well it would last carried in the pickup behind the seat loaded all the time Hot or Cold. I have an older Remington 700 and decided to keep that.

This is a great gun to get started with. The bolt action is a little rough but after a good cleaning and some good gun oil, it works great. I've read all the negative reviews on the web about this gun but usually write those off to amateurs or someone wanting a $1000 gun for $300. The gun shoots on target, no jams after 50 rounds and the more it is used, the better the bolt action works. For a starter or just an everyday hunting gun, this fits the bill.
