this is a decent hunting rifle to get you started, pretty accurate as it comes but if you want to upgrade, I would start with the scope.

No problems. Shoots accurate. No issues with magazine feed into chamber. Always used Hornady American Whitetail 130 grain. Bagged a couple deer already, just purchased a year ago.

I bought this rifle because I am planning a hog hunt and wanted a decent rifle. Buds delivered it fast when I got it home and went to the range I wasn’t sure what to expect out of a rifle with such a cheap price. Man was I impressed I checked the bore sight and made a couple minor adjustments and shot a couple groups. Both groups were under 1 inch at 100 yards so I moved back to 200 without much change. As far as the rifle there is a little play in the bot but it’s smooth and locks in tight, the trigger in nice and the scope is decent the gun feels good. I would recommend this rifle for anyone looking for a economical hunting rifle. Thanks Buds and Remington.

You can tell this gun is what its worth, everything is functional and works properly. Going to the range the Scope was not sighted in correctly but an easily correction to be made on the scope itself while shooting.
The rifle shoots well and have not had any issues so far!

Great gun for the price. But the eye relief on scope is horrible. No problems so far from the gun at all.

Nice Rifle! Remington 770 .270 This is not just a good starter rifle, it's a go to for hunting. It doesn't have all the frills that really expensive rifles have, but that's not what's needed for hunting. Right out of the box, after proper barrel break-in and minor windage and elevation adjustments, this rifle is a tack driver. The claim is that they're factory boresighted and it appeared it was done correctly. With no modifications at all and with the scope that came on the rifle it shot outstanding groups, with factory ammo. Bench-rested at 100 yards all shots in 2 separate 5 shot groups were all touching each other. Well, well under the accepted the 1 inch grouping. This is a super rifle for anyone who doesn't want to break the bank, but wants a solid hunting rifle. Save the money on the rifle, use good quality ammunition, and it's a great combination.

I have heard bad opinions.With mine I would not give it up.I have shot against others and hit more accurate.It only needed oil on bolt.Most people complained of that.A little oil was all it took.Bud's is the best.

A very nice rifle for the price. Do not put faith in the "boresighting from the factory" bull. I got my rifle with the scope on backwards. But after corrections were made, it's banging like a champ.
