An extremely reliable and accurate 1911. Very comfortable to shoot, and beautifully designed.

Nice gun, very rare right now. I happened to be browsing Bud's one Sunday night when one of these came in stock, so I snatched it right up. It arrived very quickly, and the price is incomparable to anywhere else. These go for $100-200 more on other sites (which are always out of stock) and around $350-450 more in used condition on auction sites. Beautiful pistol, handles superbly well, amazingly accurate too. The only problem is that is didn't work. The slide had kink or something, which caused the first 50 shots to fail to eject. It's worth noting that this particular pistol was made in Brazil, not USA. Springfield is fixing the problem for free right now; their warranty service is amazing, by the way. The defect wasn't Bud's fault, so they still get 5 stars from me. I just can't wait to get this great pistol back in firing condition. P.S. This isn't a CC gun by any means. It's big and heavy.

Received the product quickly - excellent service as always. It seemed to take about 75-100 rounds to dial-in - but it's dean-on and very smootth action. Black sights are tough against black background, but will upgrade sights soon. I'm a lefty so love the ambi safety.

The more I fire this thing, the more I love it!

This was the best birthday present I've ever bought for myself. The accuracy is incredible. The sights were set a little low as received and getting the black sights aligned against a black silhouette target was challenging on an indoor range but every round was on the target even with the target set as far back as it would go. This will be a head turner at an outdoor range and I can't wait to take it out again but I'll need the Indiana weather to cooperate or skip work one day OH YEAH!

To begin, buying from Buds was easy,and very straight forward. The shipment was very prompt and I was made of aware of everything going on during the transaction. I will buy from Buds again in the future. For the Springfield I can only say that I am very pleased with the performance out of the box. Immediately upon receipt of the LNGSLD I went to my local range and ran 300 rounds through the gun. I would consider myself a plebe at marksmanship, but the Springfield made me look like a professional. The accuracy out of the box was unbelievable. The 6" barrel makes a difference compared to shooting my 5". Bigger is better. The kick was mild which made rapid shooting easy. I would highly recommend the Springfield LNGSD. The fit and finish is beautiful although some of the machined edges are sharp. However they seem less so since I have handled it everyday for the past two weeks. I am trying to figure a way to use the Springfield for my conceal weapon the extra 1" does make a difference.

Excellent handgun, went to a friends deer lease to do some summer work, did some paper punching at the end of the day. First time to try my new 45, out of the box on the first round at 25 yards hit 7 in the kill zone with the first clip, second clip at 50 yards hit 5 in the kill zone, at 75 yards hit 3 in the kill zone with the third clip...............love the weight, balance, shoot's evenly with left or right hand, accurate left or right eyed............easy slide out of the box as well................great value and under estimated.....................I like it better than my S & W..........................
