I purchased this only as a sleeve to keep my 1911 in the gun safe, and it's fine for that. I'd be worried about it folding into the trigger guard in a carry situation.

UPDATE After a couple weeks the xdm 3.8 40sw started snagging inside the holster.Not good.Upon inspection i found out its the front site digging into the mesh type material.I dont think theres much i can do because every time i take it out it gets caught and makes it worse inside.Im thinking about just ripping all the mesh out and using it that way.Gray material under it just not sure if that will damage the pistol and cause wear on the slide and parts exposed.

Holster fits my Springfield xdm 3.8 40sw like a glove.Great for concealed carry as opposed to the crap that came with the xdm.I was a little worried about ordering it online without knowing if it would fit my xdm,but buds description was spot on.Great service great price buds.
