Just got my 590 and am very pleased ! Quality is good, action smooth, trigger just a touch heavy but no creep. Bud's is everything they claim to be. I will definitely be buying from them again.

Got this shotgun recently and I'm not a bit disappointed. It's my first I've owned but I've shot others. Couple of my buddies have remington 870s and they all like the ghost ring sights and the safety on my mossy better. Also my mossy holds more rounds than their stock remingtons. Really like the extra shells in the butt stock too. I've never broken down a shotgun before but this one seemed a little complicated compared to other guns I've cleaned. Can't really go wrong with a weapon the US military trusts in the hands of it's soldiers. They don't mess around when it comes testing time. I would recommend this to anyone and so would my friends with remington 870s :)

This weapon system is amazing for the price. The speedfeed stock works well. The rounds are held tightly, but it's not a chore to retrieve them when needed. The stock didn't feel as flimsy as I thought it would. The parkerization was nice ,although a little thin toward the front sight. I changed out the front sight and now it's my dedicated home defense weapon. Flawlessness doesn't come at this price, but it's darn close. I have yet to have one FTF/FTE. The loading setup is ingenious. When in full battery, there is no loading gate to contend with - just drop and push. wonderful system. I highly recommend it.

The shotgun worked just fine. A few of us fired birdshot and buckshot through it with no jams whatsoever. The shipping was quick and the transaction was painless.

I marked it one star down because I don't believe this is really parkerized. Bud's description says it's parkerized, and the box it came in says parkerized, but there are more than several people online reporting receiving matte blue shotguns instead (not to be confused with glossy blue). Mossberg has been applying a matte blue finish ever since 2007 or 2008, and on their website this model (50668) is clearly marked as matte blue.

Upon getting a pistol recently that I know 100% to be matte blue, and comparing the two guns, I can say with 98% certainty this gun I received is matte blue, not park. They look completely identical to my eye.

Recently purchase this shotgun. Nice parkerized finish. Ghost sights were on target right out the box. Tight group around 25 yards (depending on ammo). Little heavy fully loaded with side saddle and speed feed (please don't add a slug loaded sling). The action gets smoother the more you shoot it. I did replace the plastic safety button with a metal one from North Woods Outpost and a stronger magazine spring form Brownells. This is a wonderful product. I choose the Mossberg mainly because of the safety button and action release lever location. You never have to take your finger off of fire control. Also a flat elevator for speed feeding without pinching your thumb. I may add a red dot sight for quicker target aquisition. Mainly using it for home defense. Pump action, not a lot of moving parts... perfect! Just my oppinion.
