Well I got to tell you, I wanted a Maverick 88 cruiser 20 gauge and they were hard to find or to expensive. So I ordered this Mossberg 54132 and swapped barrels with my 20 gauge Maverick 88 20 gauge. I also put a Hogue pistol grip on the Maverick to make it like I want it. So now I got a Mossberg Maverick 88 pistol grip with a 22 inch Mossberg barrel that I can change chokes or barrels if I want to. The Mossberg came with two extra chokes.

I bought this gun mainly for my grandkids to shoot. It is a good, lightweight gun for clay pigeons.

Great shotgun. I bought it for one of my friends that is smaller in stature. Took it out and shot a couple rounds of skeet with it and it performed perfectly. Fit and finish were quite good for a $300 gun. Would recommend to anyone.

This is an excellent shotgun and shoot fantastic. It has a very nice wood stock and the barrel and receiver are nicely blued, the gold trigger adds a very nice touch. The capacity is 5+1 and it is a good gun for a smaller person as it has a 13" LOP which is perfect for myself. Buds delivered on time as usual, never a problem there as their customer service and shipping is top notch. I would highly recommend this shotgun to anyone looking for a quality 20 ga for home defense or sport shooting of any kind.

This review may be a bit premature, as I haven't had a chance to fire this shotgun yet. There are a couple of things I can comment about though. First, Bud's is great to work with. This is the first time I've bought a firearm online, and I admit I had a few concerns. It was a snap. Aside from the great price, the staff at Bud's made the process very easy. The best part was the excellent communications. I received an email as each step of the process was completed, and always knew what was going on with the purchase. Shipping was very fast too. If you've dealt with Bud's, you know what I mean. If you're considering a first time purchase, you can buy with confidence. Regarding the Mossberg, as I said I've yet to shoot it. However, I can tell it is a very well made shotgun. Close examination has found nothing but quality workmanship at a remarkable price. The metal finish is very good. Certainly not mirror-like blueing but a nice matte that is uniform and consistent thoughout. Likewise the stock and forearm, while not richly grained walnut, are attractive and well finished hardwood pieces. Action feels smooth and solid. There are two sights, an ivory bead at the muzzle and a gold bead mid-rib. A total of three chokes are provided, along with a wrench. One item of note, Bud's description says capacity is 4 + 1. With 2 3/4" shells the capacity is 5 + 1. Look for a followup review when I've had a chance to shoot it.
