Received within a few days, great service from Buds as always. When I inspected the revolver, there were no blemishes or tool marks. The cylinder fit was very good as expected. I have fired about 60 rounds so far, including 350 grain, 440 grain and 700 grain. I can confirm that it kicks like a mule! It's very accurate when you don't flinch. Cleaning wasn't very difficult, used Birchwood Lead Remover cloth and it was good as new. Very please with the purchase.

Purchased this gun a couple of months ago. Just Mesmerized when I took it out of the box. Beautiful, heavy piece of art. Just bought some ammo for it. I have not shot it yet. Great price from Buds.

I received my handgun and it was in wonderful condition. Beautiful finish and feels great in my hands. I haven't shot it yet but hope to sight it in for deer season this year. Plan on putting a scope on it prior to sighting in.

First off Bud's Guns always has a great price and great service. I bought this revolver because of the power of the 500 S&W. This gun is very well made and the only one that I could find with a long barrel. The 10" gives good balance, style, longer sighting radius and longer powder burning time. The cylinder length gives one the opportunity to experiment with reloads. Seating the bullet further out will give more room for powder and also maybe slower burning powders to utilize this 10". My only gripe is that it is not a 6 shooter. I guess that would make the gun larger, heavier, and more expensive. I tried a unique clamp on chronograph, but could never get it to record bullet velocity. I think it was the heavy muzzle blast causing it to mess up. The largest that I've shot through it is a T-Rex 700 grain bullet at 1200 FPS. This amounts to 2237 ft-# and a Taylor's TKO of 60. Now that's a power house! If you buy one of these you will never regret it. I think it out shines a S&W.

I just recently bought a Magnum Research BFR in 500 S&W and so far have around 75 rounds through it. Works great ...extremely accurate and dead on at 25 Yards out of the box. Shipping was fast and efficient...no problems getting the handgun signed over at the FFL..great service from Buds!!!

I want to start off by saying that I love this gun. It has a fantastic trigger, good balance and is very accurate right out of the box. It makes .500 S&W mag fairly easy to shoot. I only have one issue with the gun which is that there are some fairly sharp edges around the trigger guard which will give you a nasty bite when you work up to heavier recoiling rounds.

This is the second BFR I have purchased through Buds. I was a bit disappointed when I received this revolver. The disclaimer that the stock photos may not be current, definitely applies here. The grip style has changed. The pic needs to be updated. The grip surface has changed and I found it not to be as conducive to control as the older style grip. The little nub hanging down behind the trigger guard no longer exists. This was great to keep the finger/ guard contact, to a minimum with recoil. All the help you can get while shooting this beast is appreciated. Magnum Research should not have "updated" this feature. Contact was made during shooting, albeit was toward the end of 25 rounds and fatigue may have contributed. This is a beast.
