The aggressive checkered grip allows a glue like purchase on the gun, even with sweaty or bloody hands. Seemed to jam frequently, ended up trading for something else. The 9mm version seemed to be fine, still have it.

Buds first class. Wow great gun. For a 45 hardly no recoil. Trigger is the best I've shot. I've been shooting for over 30 years. This is one of the best guns I own.

GREAT GUN....IT FITS ME LIKE A GLOVE..MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS IF YOU ARE GOING TO CARRY THIS FIREARM, BUY A HOLSTER THAT PROTECTS THE ENTIRE SLIDE....I HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE FINISH WEARING OFF AND RUSTING. SO BUY A IWB HOLSTER, THAT PROTECTS THE ENTIRE SLIDE ...OR BUY THE STAINLESS SLIDE....L8R...B.K.

Taurus spends a lot on design and research of materials, so their guns are well engineered and built with decent compounds, but to make guns this cheap they compromise on quality control, thats why a lot of people say they are hit or miss guns, you either love or hate them. And thats also why they offer outstanding warranty, they may have realized its cheaper to fix a few than to throughly inspect all. That being said, if you are looking for a gun to be your primary defense weapon i would recommend looking elsewhere. But if you want to have fun at the range or your back yard these guns can be a lot of fun at a fraction of the cost of higher quality brands. I got this gun from buds and their service was great. The gun looked great and fit well in my hands, bud it did jam quite a bit. I had to clean it a lot to get rid of the manufacturers thick grease, and after that it still jammed a lot. After some inspection i realized the muzzle entrance had edges too sharp, so I filed the edges a bit, and finally i had a good gun. No jams since, and even my girlfriend shoots well with this gun.

The 24/7 OSS pistols are my favorite pistols bar none and I am an Old 1911 guy. My first one was in 9mm and broke all three of my handgun "don't" rules=polymer frame, striker fired and 9mm :). That was three years ago and my friends still won't let me live it down. I got a great deal on the 45 from Bud's. I only wish I had bought a bunch of them while I could. Rumor has it that Taurus discontinued them, I hope that is wrong. The de cock to have first shot double action and one in the chamber is a wonderful feature. I carry OSS pistols; I'm 6'4" so it's relative. 24/7 pistols seem to fit everyone’s hands from small to freakishly big like mine. Get one whenever you can, you won't be sorry.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Taurus 24/7 OSS Tactical in .45acp; the gun is well made and fed and ejected well, no problems. Only issue is the front sight needs to be moved but it uses an extremely small tool that I have yet to locate. For the money a great buy!

For the price you can't beat this firearm. Is substantial and easy to manage. My wife can shoot this firearm and not feel uncomfortable with it in time of need. I have always loved the 1911 since my time in the Military but with this firearms capacity I may well have found a new favorite.

Excellent firearm so far! After initial inspection, I made sure the bore was clear and wiped some of the awesome Brazilian grease off the gun. Fired 100 rounds of Federal 230 FMJ, without nary a problem. I've since fired 50 rounds of Winchester 230 JHP and 50 rounds of UMC Remington 230 JHP through it, problem free. It's been very accurate and a pleasure to shoot. I'll post again if anything changes for the worse, but for now a definite 5.
