All USPs feature a fiber-reinforced polymer frame stiffened by stainless steel inserts at areas subject to stress and friction. HK pioneered this use of polymer materials in the production of handguns more than 30 years ago with the development of the VP70Z and P9S pistols. Using a modified Browning-type action with a special patented recoil reduction system, the USP recoil reduction system reduces recoil effects on pistol components and also lowers the recoil forces felt by the shooter. The USP recoil reduction system is insensitive to ammunition types and requires no special adjustment or maintenance. Variant 1 is double action/single action with SAFE position; control lever (manual safety/decocking lever) is mounted on left side of the frame. This model comes with 3-dot sights and two 10-round magazines.

The darling of my collection. Fantastic weapon with no malfunctions in the many years since it came home with me from the FFL. If I had to pick one pistol in the world to rely on, stopping power with the trust of little to no failure, this is it for me.

This gun is perfectly well built. Top quality. I have shot about 300 rounds through it so far. The recoil gives you comfortable feeling and accuracy is top notch. I am buying a 2nd one for collection and upgrades. If you want to play with .45ACP, the USP45 is a must have.

This is a very high quality firearm. As my first hand gun I spent a significant amount of time trying different guns out at the range and doing endless research on the internet until I discovered the HK USP series. A few of my friends who are career military and law enforcement had nothing but the highest praise for the USP, especially the .45 ACP. After I tried it out at the range I was a believer. I was far more accurate with this than the other semiauto's and 1911's that I also tried and it was very comfortable in my average/medium sized hand. HK makes some of the finest engineered and most reliable firearms in the world. This gun will not disappoint. Tough, accurate, reliable, and precision-engineered. It is worth every dollar.
