Picked up my P232 at the FFL this afternoon and drove over to the range. I ran 200 rounds of two brands through the gun, plus a few JHPs. Fabulous pistol. I'm in love with this gun. Shot perfect. No issues. Easy to handle, but then, it is a .380. The fit and finish was exquisite. Take down was easy, and reassembly was also easy as long as you remember to push in the slide catch lever. The only thing I wish it had was a slide lock, but I can live without it.

when I opened the box if found my gun in plastic but when removed from the plastic I discovered there were tiny scratches all along to slide of both sides. I also noted that one of the rear night sight inserts was mashed flat. Called Sig and they told me that appearance items were not covered under warranty. This left a very bad taste in my mouth as far as Sig service is concerned. I decided to sell so I wouldn't have to get pissed off every time I looked at it but I quickly learned these 232's don't sell used very well when you can buy new with no shipping at 580. I've been watching Gunbroker and 232's used just don't attract much interest at any price. I guess it's because of the fact new can be purchased so reasonably priced with no shipping. Also, these 232's are a little large for nice consealed carry and they are pretty unconventional in their operation. If you must have a Sig, the 238 is by far the better choice. The 238 shoots as well carries perfectly in a hip pocket and is as reliable as any hand gun can be. You sitll have a sig though and as long as you don't have to go back to Sig with a problem you'll be OK. When I purchased my 232 I also purchased 2 ea. 238's. After tossing that peace of business to Sig I would have thought they would have been a little more accomidating. Sig as a Company gets two thumbs down from me. My rating is based on the condition of the gun when received and the way the warranty was disregarded on cosmetics and sight damage.

This is an addon to my earlier review. I contacted Sig today about the problem with the rear night sight and they told me that as long as the sight is lighting up there is no warraty. Wow, I couldn't believe such poor response to a customer inquiry about geting a rear sight replaced on a 1 day old gun. Their solution is for me to take a picture or send it in. The problem won't show up in a picture and it will cost 90.00 to send the pistol in. My thought is that a decent response on a brand new pistol would be to have me send the rear sight in for a replacement or send me a replacement so I can replace it and then send the bad one to Sig. In this day and age I suspect that with the cost of shipping hand guns Sig doesn't have to handle many of the smaller warranty problems because of the customers cost to ship. At this point my solution is to sell the damn thing and be done with Sig. I purchase a lot of guns and if a manufacture is going to treat me like a kid which I am not, then I will find no further need to deal with Sig. My 2 cents on Sig is just hope you don't need any repairs!

I purchased a 232 and a 238 on the same order. I wold buy another 238 but I wouldn't purchase another 232. The 238 is an all around better pistol for CCW. The only thing the 232 has going for it is that you can get a full hand grip on the handle. No need to won a 232 if you have a 238. Im over all feeling about the 232 is that its an OK pistol but I wasn't impressed. The night sights need replacing right out of the box, as they were slopily manufactured making them difficult to see in day light. Also the 3 dits are not all equal in intensity. The right rear dot is bright the left rear is dim and the front sight is difficult to bring into focuse because of the different intensity of the three dots. This is an average pistol not great not bad so I will have to give it a middle rating of not good or bad. Get one if you like but I would recommend the 238 ofer the 232 hands down. 232 is over rated in the reviews ( in my opinion) Buds was slow on this delivery but they've been quick on others so I'll still have to give Buds two thumbs up.

I got my Sig 232 today from my FFL. Pistol is a lot better looking than I thought. I had wanted the blue model but was unavailable so took the two tone, glad I did. I got a way better price than $780, way better. This is my eighth gun from Bud's and have found if you are patient and watch, the prices fluxuate up and down. The pistol is very nice, great fit and finish. Took it out to the pasture and ran 20 rounds through it even though it is an unusual 17 degrees here in Texas today. The gun shot way low and to the left. I thought it might be my shivering hands but when I came in and took a closer look you can easily see the rear sight is off center. Other than that the gun is great, very good and smooth reliable shooter. I will get the sights adjusted and it will be perfect.

I choose this model due to the 4oz weight difference instead of full stainless. This is the best carry I've owned and if your looking to conceal carry a .380 this is an excellent choice. Accurate as heck and never a failure.
