I carry this thing everywhere. I have two, sometimes I carry both!

The perfect backup that's more than a backup.

This purchase was made to replace what I had before but no longer can locate. I love the versatility of choosing either 22 rounds & able to carry on belt. Also, the folding belt holder protects accidently pulling trigger.

I love wearing this in my pocket when I am in dress clothes. Really fun to take to range days and everyone ogles at it.

Neat little pistol. After a couple of months I changed out the “holster” for a regular grip and a leather holster. It made for a neat concealed gun.

Bud’s was great. The gun is very small and will easily fit in your pocket. However it is a little awkward to draw from pocket and unfold because it requires two hands and it’s easy to put your hand in front of the barrel when doing so must be careful. Pretty easy to change cylinders once you get the hang of it and hammerlock feature is good. Not very accurate past 20 feet but that’s not what it’s for, you can hit a target at 10 yards but don’t look for bulls eyes. I give it 4* because it’s good but not great.

Handy little revolver with a versatile range of deep concealment carry options and round options. For the price, it’s worth it to get this option with the convertible cylinder for the capability to shoot the .22 short, long, and long rifle. The foldable grip makes it easy to carry, but also easy to grab and hold onto when shooting .22 Magnums.

Let's just start with a FIVE STAR rating and go from there.
North American Arms has done a superb job with design ,specifications, dependability and flexibility as this piece is able to fire either .22 LR OR .22 WMR.
Two 5 round cylinders are provided and conversion between the 2 ammunition types is surprisingly simple although unique.
The self containing holster manufactured by Hogue which locks when opened is another one of a kind feature and advantage. I do not know of another firearm that is this compact when holstered.
Also note the holster design includes a integral and very well designed sturdy clip that does a superb job at keeping the holstered Black Widow in place securely without compromise. Well done, Hogue.
Additional advantages are the full fine quality stainless steel construction (4 times harder than tempered blue steel).
Stainless makes this piece high corrosion resistant with sweat, moisture, salt water environments, etc.
It would be hard to find a better choice if you are considering dependable and serious micro-carry, back up, ultra-conceal or other lightweight piece.
An additional pleasant surprise comes when you compare muzzle energy of the .22 LR and the .22 WMR designed for this Black Widow.
Consider the very common concealed carry and also back up piece of a .38 Special which, in its most potent form is the .38 SP+P offers about 253 ft/lbs muzzle energy.
A CCI Stinger .22 LR round will produce 191 ft/lbs. Take notice that available variants of the .22 WMR can produce 289 ft/lbs of muzzle energy ! More than a .38 SP +P !!!
Furthermore, even the "compact" .38 Special snub nose with a 5 round cylinder is so much heavier, bulkier,etc. Why bother? Time to rethink!
I struggle to find improvement for this piece but may offer the suggestion of "melting" down a few corners which should be easily done in either manufacturing or after purchase.
Finally, for easy identification, the .22LR cylinder is marked "L". However, there are no marks on the .22 WMR cylinder to more easily identify that designation.
