Other features include a fluted bolt and fully enclosed bolt shroud with cocking indicator; two-position safety; Soft-Tech recoil pad and steel sling swivel studs. Great stock trigger. Very good all around rugged rifle, I get 1.5 inch groups @150-250yds with no problem. Great choice for gun rack ranch work.

Bought this rifle a couple of months ago. Love Bud's pricing and customer service though shipping to FFL was a hastle. Took me over a week to get it. Apparently Bud's wad going through some kind of computer switch over but my hand gun came before the rifle. As far as this rifle, I mounted a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x50 scope with a DNZ mount. 5 shots zeroed in! Last two shots were through the same hole at 150 yards. Would recommend this rifle to anyone. Want to get my son the same setup for deer season. Trigger is sweet!

The marlin X7 rifle is one of the best guns I have and right out of the box it is shooting 3/4" groupings with factory ammo. To bad Marlin has stopped production on such a good rifle.

Purchased this rifle because I had to lay down my magnums this season due to 2 shoulder surgeries. With that said topped off my Marlin XL7 270win with a Diamondback 3.5x10x50mm and at the range one handed shooting was a snap very little recoil. I loaded my own 140gr. Sierra Boattail at 3000 fps so they had some go juice and held 3/4" groups at 100yds. So 5 stars to everyone at Buds and Marlin for giving me exactly what I want at a very reasonable price. You guys need not over look these rifles they are the real deal.
