its drilled and tapped so yes it would be easy to mount a red dot

james g is correct it is drilled and tapped the 10 ga is but the 12 ga is not ( I was thinking 12 ga)

a gunsmith would be required to drill and tap the Barrel

You would have to drill and tap a mount on it, it does not currently have screw holes for that. You would have to have gunsmith do that.

This is a beautiful gun. However it comes with a choke tube only suitable for lead shot. Where I live we cannot use lead shot. I cannot get an answer even from the manufacturer on what choke tube this gun will accept for the use of steel shot. All in all great service, and great gun.

This thing will kick the crap out of you, but you should already know that. It's very well made. Nice weight to the gun. Buds was dependable but a little slower this time. For the time period that I bought it it was understandable. 5 stars. Oh yeah the kerchunk sound that this thing makes when you close it is one of my favorite sounds.
