I have a number of guns and I can honestly say this is the worst gun I have ever had. The primary issue from day one was after firing 9 rounds, I was unable to eject the spent cartridges until cooled or by tapping the plunger eject with a plastic or rubber hammer.,the gun was returned for repairs 4 times and the last time they returned the gun, the cylinder was hard to close. I returned the gun requesting a refund and was initially refused, however, the Dealer, Bud's Guns got involved and after much communication they finally refunded my purchase price. I question if taurus has qualified gun smiths to repair guns, which is why I rejected their offer to allow me full retail credit to any gun they sell. I,thank David of Bud/'s Guns

Cylinder would lock up regularly. Sent to Taurus for repair. It came back within ten days. It's one of the sweetest shooting .22's I have. If you buy one, plan on sending it in for warranty work. It's without charge (Even shipping is free) and well worth it in the long run.

Just received it yesterday and took it out to the range today. Great little pistol, very accurate and fun to shoot plus it definitely keeps the ammo cost down. Shot lead ball, lead hollow nose and jacketed hollow nose with not one hiccup. Bud's was great as usual with great service and quick delivery. I highly recommend this gun as a training pistol and just fun target shooting.

Shipping was quick and without issues. Recieved my new 990 less than one week after ordering. As with any NIB firearm I have purchased in the last 30 or so years, I completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and reassembled the firearm. Both SA and DA operation was very much improved after the afore mentioned cleaning/lubrication. Finally got to the range on Good Friday. My new 990 performed flawlessly with no issues. Three (3) friends also fired the 990 and the feedback was positive in all cases. Still undecided on the grips, as they are a little small for large hands. Very pleased with this latest addition to my collection, (JLC / 31MAR13)...

A big, beefy pistol that's fun to shoot all day long. And chambered in .22 Long Rifle, you can afford to do so. A keeper.

I just recieved my gun today from my local ffl dealer and i could not be any happier with it , quite a hard gun to find around my area, can not wait to shoot it . Would buy from Buds again
