I have had my shotgun for 4 years and I love it. It's exactly what I wanted. Only thing that bothered me was when I got it, the mossberg sticker on the buttstock was half rolled up with a bunch of flannel and shirt lint on it. Makes me think I got a floor model from some sports Store where everyone in town got to dry fire it multiple times. it was supposed to be brand new in box but with that much stuff on the sticker is pretty obvious plenty plenty of people we're checking out. in the 4 years I've ownedI have shot every kind of ammo through it from cheap game load to 3" hollow point slugs and buck shot. Every brand, gauge, and round, all day shooting. it has a thicker barrel then the blue metal version doesn't get quite as hot. Took the front bead off. It snags the inside of my soft case and, well, it's a shotgun! You don't need sights, Point and shoot.

i have to say after i received my shotgun and this being my first one it didn't disappoint me when i went out to shoot it that same day. i did find out that you can push a additional round in the mag after the fifth one is in and then one more in the chamber i did this with ease. not really sure how but it happened. the gun overall is great the action was smooth after spraying a littler oil in there and racking the action a few times. but like i said there is nothing i can say about what this gun isn't because it hasn't done anything wrong

Great shotgun! These rugged, heavy duty, military grade shotguns will outlast us owners. I ordered this just about midnight on a Sunday night, and it was at my local dealer just after noon on Wednesday (I didn't pay extra for faster shipping either). That was fast! The ordering process was very easy, and I received e-mail updates. I had my shotgun delivered to one of Bud's preferred FFL's, and that made things even easier. I would certainly order firearms from Bud's again. I considered a cheaper Mossberg 500 home defense model, but decided on this 590A1 because of: 1/ Metal safety button, 2/Metal trigger guard, and 3/ Parkerized finish. Nothing at all wrong with 500's though. I considered this 590A1 to be an investment. I hope to get to the range with this shotgun after the first of the year.

1st purchase from Buds and it was a smooth, fast transaction. Will gladly buy from them again. Their prices are the lowest around. The Mossberg 590A1 I purchased was the least expensive model they had in stock. The value is incredible. The shotgun is topnotch, solid, and not too heavy. Love the Parkerized finish. I customized to my liking with a picatinny rail on top, heatshield, Knoxx CompStock, sidesaddle, and tactical tri-rail forend. I think this is the way to go. Buy a base model and add what you want later. Saved a ton going tyhis route. The Knoxx CompStock is a must have accessory in my opinion. It shortens the LOP and reduces recoil greatly. The Mossberg stock's length was a tad too long for me. The Knoxx stock feels just right.

I'm very happy!!! I have wanted this shotgun when I first saw it. Now I have it. The price was less than anywhere locally, and I watched the price go up $200 over a period of 3 months. Bud's was awesome with getting it to me. Now I have to find a range that will let me shoot it.... preferably an indoor range with this heat. I will definitely be buying from Bud's again.

This thing is a beast! Pretty heavy. I like the sturdiness, but I think I prefer my 870 just because I've been using it for 30 years. Buds service is 5-Star!
