This gun exhibits the reason Remington is in trouble! It looks like it was made by the same class of slobs that drove Colt down the tubes! If this gun wasn't a left hand firearm I would have much rather bought a older used one and had a lot better firearm. I have not mounted a scope as of yet but soon I will be at the range and if it shoots as good as my buddy's Ruger I will be very surprised.
The first thing I saw was the bolt handle is not timed correctly I bet there will be trouble extracting the fired case.
The second thing is the bore, it is rough and would bet it copper fouls vey bad. We will see.
My thoughts, Buy a different brand. $580.00 for a out of spec barreled action with a $8.00 plastic stock!

Excellent performance. I was using the Remington 700 while chambered in .300WM while in the military. Although it has a different stock that had then, this one is awesome and light to carry. I ordered the 7mmRM due to the fact ballisticaly speaking the 2 are very similar. Actually the 7 shoots little flatter at long distance and 2. The 300WM has an average recoil of 32 ft lbs where the 7 is about 24 ft lbs. When you are doing alot of shooting, that makes a difference on a 52 year old shoulder. So far, this is the best and most consistent rifle I have owned in years. It's a Rem 700. It is as good as its reputation and easy to see why our military chooses it as their go to long range/sniper rifle. Ready to see if I can special order one in .275 H&H mag (no I didnt mean .375H&H). I highly suggest you buy one yourself and enjoy.

Good gun. Not good to use reloads with. Only factory ammo should be used. 7mm Remington Magnum cases are belted. This specimen was a pain to reload for. Ive seen better 700s do better in 7mm Mag.

I missed out on securing a 6.5 Creedmore so I was in a definite bind trying to find a left handed hunting rifle for my son for Christmas. I found your website online, made my choice, a Remington 7mm, a few clicks later the gun was on it's way. I had it shipped to an FFL in my hometown and there were no issues. The gun arrived in just a few days. My son was a happy guy on Christmas morning.

Ordered the rifle on a Tuesday and it was in just in time to use on opening day. The size of this rifle impressed me. Its a big rifle and very intimidating but kicks to the equivalent of a 30-30 in my opinion. Also Was very pleased with the accuracy when it came to a 300 yard shot. If your looking for a gun that will reach out to 450+ yards then this is the rifle to get. The only problem I had was the cartridge not wanting to eject after a couple rounds have been fired through it. All in all I’d buy this gun again if i needed to.

You asked I should have done my home work but I was expecting to get a SPS with a bigger barrel but what I got was a pencil barrel I new the stock had to be replaced to make the gun accurate but know I have to buy a barrel and stock so all I got was a left hand action for 525 but I thats what you get when you are left handed
