Sig Sauer's Classic centerfire pistols .22 LR Rimfire models. The same P220, P226, and P229 that have been used by civilian, law enforcement, and military personnel the world over, can now have these same models factory built in .22LR. The Sig Sauer Classic .22's are built on the same frame as their centerfire counterparts. All three Classic .22's feature the same Sig Sauer Four-Point safety system which employs a decocking lever, a patented automatic firing pin safety block, a safety intercept notch, and a trigger bar disconector. The new machined slides also feature a front sight adjustable for drift and a rear sight adjustable for both windage and elevation. Sig Sauer Classic .22 s are shipped in a lockable case with one 10-round magazine.

Great price,excellent communication,fast shipping! Bud’s price was about the same as an x change kit for my other P229. Now I can have a 22lr to practice with at the range, and still have the option of an x change kit to another caliber later. Took this to the range and it performed flawlessly. I would definitely recommend buying from Buds.

Very happy with the P229R22. It is 10 times better than the Mosquito, and I'm one of the few that got a good Mosquito and actually like it. Note that the .22 slide is longer than a regular P229 9mm slide, so the sight radius is actually the same as a P226. That works well for me since I also have a P226 in 9mm, but just something to be aware of. It ran 100% perfect from the very first shot. Of course, I cleaned and lubed it well before going to the range and I was rewarded with flawless function through 200 rounds of CCI Mini-mag JHP. The sights were right on, requiring no adjustment and it shot very tight groups. Bud's had it at a great price and, as usual, shipping was quick and uneventful. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

Once I got the 9MM x-change kit this gun was perfect. As a .22 though it was mediocre at best. I could not get more than 2 or 3 rounds to fire without a misfeed, I also had multiple FTF's each mag. I tried several different types of .22 with the same results. Even my go to CCI mini mags has issues in the gun. The mags are cheap polymer and the follower on one of the mags broke soon after I purchased the handgun. I wish this came with better mags as I am sure it would function much better with higher quality mags.

Easy ordering and fast shipping. Gun was everything I had hoped. It comes in a smaller black case rather than the older blue sig cases. This gun came with 2 magazines instead of one like advertised. For some reason the coupon for the caliber x-change did not have .40 S&W listed as a choice for this model. I called Sig customer service and explained the situation and that I wanted the .40 caliber and they took my order for it over the phone. I shot 160 rounds of high velocity ammo through it and didn't have any problems. Accuracy was great. It is going to be fun shooting a bunch of ammo through this gun.

First purchase from Bud's & it went smooth as silk. The P226 classic 22LR arrived in perfect condition - there was not even a scuff on the carry case. I put 150 rounds of cheap unjacketed ammo through it earlier this week - no problems at all. Two points of clarification 1) it ships with 2 - 10RD polymer magazines plus a coupon to purchase a 9mm, 357SIG or .40 S&W conversion at a discount within a year; 2) like all 22LR conversions for full-size semi-autos, the slide does not lock back when you empty a magazine...the only problem is deciding which caliber X-Change kit to order
