This is a well made gun; fit and finish are good. Stock finish could use improvement. Nice bluing. Did the action job from Steve's Gunz. Smoothed the action pretty well. Fun gun to shoot. Great deer gun. Bud's guns easy to deal with.

I own the Rossi .357 20" M92 and love it. I got my new 44 mag lever for hog hunting Since I have used the M92 Rossi prior I wasn't expecting any issues with my new gun, and it came in perfect condition and very quickly. Since this rifle is for hunting hogs, mostly nocturnally; I replaced the open sight with a reflex one which gives me a red dot or cross hair choice and added a green light and laser to the rifle . This is the first time I have used Buds and I will never use another gun shop again. Fast, good inventory, and friendly. I really liked the trusted transfer FFL dealer list they provide; found one just down the street from me I didn't know was there...I now have a new friend and a new rifle. I'm now busy loading up some good hog rounds for my new M92 44 mag. Thanks Buds

I would recommend this Rossi 44 Magnum Lever Gun. Shoots true out to 65 yds with open sights. Light weight & easy to handle & clean. U wont be disappointed. There are more expensive & better built lever guns in 44 mag, but this Rossi will work just as good on game or paper for a whole lot less. Deer Man Out

What can i say, 5 star as usual. Would give 10 stars if i could. Excellent service from Buds. And an excellent well made rifle from Rossi. This is my 4th Rossi 92, and Rossi has improved dramatically over the last few years. I went over this rifle before I left Buds, and checked it from one end to the other. I Checked the wood to metal fit, bore, bluing, chamber, cycled a snap cap, screw heads, sight alignment and dovetails, etc. If there was anything wrong i was not going to accept it. But i could not find any flaws. The only thing i could complain about is that Rossi makes there rifles a little over sprung. But that is easily remedied.

Nice rifle. Fit and finish were very good. Action was smooth out of the box. No failure to feed or eject using a variety of lead and jacketed bullets (about 200 rounds so far). Based on other reviews, the Rossi's seem to be a bit of hit or miss.... I am VERY happy with the rifle I received. Accuracy is good with just a bit of windage adjustment needed to be dead on. Buds service great as usual!

The Good: Light fast rifle that is fun to shoot. Packs enough punch to put just about anything on the ground. The Bad: gun does not shoot point of aim. With a Laser Bore sight about 6" or so high at 25 yards and shooting about 8" at 50 yards. So its not the ammo just a low front sight. For $500 retail you would think Rossi could get you on target. Rossi's customer service couldn't even offer a different front sight for me and told me to go to a third party. So now I need to get a scope or a peep sight/front sight for my rifle that adds another $50 to $150 more to the cost of the rifle. Now you are in the Henry range. Barrel slugs out at .432 so you'll need to take that into consideration if you reload. Good rifle, basically a starter kit, be prepared to put more into it.

This is my third Rossi lever-action rifle. I feel they are a good buy, but don't be surprised if the one you buy needs some tweaking by a gunsmith before it functions as it should. This one is having ejector problems. I've fired about 75 rounds through it and one round (usually the last one in the tube) will often fail to eject cleanly. Other than that, it is great. When I get it back from my gunsmith in a few weeks I'll be happy with it, but for now it gets only 3 stars.

Have to give it five stars considering the cost. Sure it's not a Henry or Marlin, but didn't pay for one of those either. Read all of the horror stories about poor fit, ejector problems, etc and even considered not purchasing because of them. Mine arrived in great shape, ejects fine and action works smoothly. Stock is nice wood, but not the perfect finish, but won't take much to fix that. I am' very pleased with what I got for the bucks with this rifle. Of course, I got the best price and service from Bud's too.
