The rifle arrived well packaged and appealing to the eye once removed. Fit and balance were very nice. Like all Rossi lever actions this one cycled a little rough at first but a round would chamber and eject without issue. Two issues I did encounter dealt with the cartridge stop and the bolt face. The cartridge stop was a little longer than necessary and would prevent any rounds being fed from the tube. A little file work on the cartridge stop and this issue was resolved. The bolt face had some thin metal pieces that should have been removed when the bolt was first made. Again, a little file work and the bolt face was good to go. At the range all rounds fed and fired flawlessly. At 20 yards the rounds hit about 2 inches high but were dead on at 100 yards. Not bad for a 16 inch barrel. Overall a very nice weapon. Rugged, reliable, compact and accurate. I would definitely get another.
