Even though this is for .300 H&H it is flat shooting modern ammo generating modern velocities. I get 2918 fps from a 26.5" barreled custom rifle and 2878 fps from an old 25" barreled Win model 70. I bought this ammo for hunting, not matches, but the accuracy is very good nevertheless. So far I've shot three big hogs, one blacktail deer, and one antelope (320 yards) with these cartridges and all fell within ten yards of being shot. I would not hesitate to use this ammo on any North American big game.
