I purchased one of these for both of my kids. 11 and 7. Just as reliable and well built as they have always been. This youth model is also very handy to have on the side by side, or carry for protection while walking through the woods in the off season.

I bought this shotgun for my wife as the 12 gauge is just a little too much for her. The Remington 870 is an excellent shotgun, both in 12 and 20 gauge. They are almost carbon copies of each other. As usual, Bud's was efficient and professional. They always do what they say they will do. They are fast and reputable. I always go to Bud's before I shop anywhere else.

Always a winner! Bought this one originally for a "house gun" for the wife to use... but she loves it for trap, skeet and action shooting!

Bought for home defense and added a magazine extension. You can adjust the stock length on this gun to make it shorter for better handling in tight spaces. 20 gauge is plenty of power for home defense with lower recoil.

Nice little shotgun. Good for the price that Buds sells it for. Remington isn't what it once was, but this is an Express model and I'm used to the Wingmaster which are two totally different guns. Overall I'm happy with it. My 8 year old son, which is who it is for, is ecstatic. This was an early Christmas present so he could squirrel hunt with his grandfather and rabbit hunt with me later in the year. I think he'll get years of use out of it. Thanks Buds for a good price and good service.

My son has been using a single shot .410 for a couple of years. After spending countless hours looking at different youth shotguns, I decided to go with the 870 compact Jr. It was the only gun that I could find that a 12" length of pull. (With a reasonable price tag) I feel that the fit was more important than having a semi-auto for perceived recoil. The super soft recoil pad has helped too. Buds delivery was fast. We got it just in time for dove season. I would recommend this gun for anyone that is looking good youth gun. It also comes with additional shims to increase length of pull as he gets older. Just for reference my son is 4 foot six inches and 65 lbs.

Cant go wrong with Remington. Buds had shotgun to my dealer in 2 days as usual. Once I got the shotgun home took it out and let my daughter fire a few shells through it to test it out. Fit and finish was great, shotgun functioned perfectly and fit her just fine at 12 years of age.

Tight, well made, and great value for the money. Highly reccommend. Just a few dollars more that a 500, but well worth it. Great service from Bud,s as usual. At 5'8", the compact fits me just fine, almost like a 3/4 full size 870.
