Reacting to many requests from the marketplace for a subcompact SIG SAUER pistol, engineers designed the new P238 as a smart looking, small handgun built with the same accuracy and reliability as large frame SIG SAUER pistols. With an overall length of just 5.5 inches a height of 3.96 inches, and weighing just under a pound, the SIG SAUER P238 is the ultimate firepower in an all metal frame concealed pistol. The P238 is built on an anodized alloy beavertail style frame with fluted grips for comfort and a secure hold during rapid-fire usage. The stainless steel slide features the popular SIG SAUER slide serrations and improves overall performance and accuracy. Additionally, the contrast sights or available SIGLITE® Night Sights are removable and adjustable for windage. The sear and trigger return spring are redesigned to prevent spring over-ride of the ejector during assembly.

The best .380, in my opinion. I tried a bunch of different .380s over the last few years and the Sig P238 came out on top hands down. For concealed carry it is minuscule and easily hidden. Work well for pocket carry, too. Easy to shoot and recoil is pretty easy. Solidly made and durable, this review is after owning and carrying this gun for three full years. I will never sell this gun, I just love it. Five stars.

This is the best .380 out there. I LOVE THIS GUN!!!!! The moment the P238 disappears into your hand you know it’s a beautiful piece, a diamond that’s not even slightly rough. The gun’s light enough to stash in a pocket, yet heavy enough to make it a perfectly controllable pistol. Buds got it to me very very fast.

Buds great as usual. After going through several of these, I finally got a good one and this means the total firearm "system" to include the action, slide AND MAGAZINE. the new shiney stainless mags with the new like wise shiney stainless followers are the final recipe in having this firearm shoot without issues. I am happy with Buds and with SIG but it took SIG a while to get this one optimally dialed in. SIG customer service has been consulted a lot since the election scare run on firearms and ammo, and I think many manufacturers got a bit sloppy during this high demand period. I am very impressed how SIG made it right (even replacing a couple of guns) on this one and a couple of other firearms I purchased.

4 instead of 5 because mine was nowhere near good to go out of the box. The extractor was so overtight from the factory that a round would not feed. This was leaving the gun about 1/8" out of battery every single shot. After adjusting the extractor it ran flawless. It's a little anoying Sig would put out a gun that wouldn't function, but other than that it's a great little gun.

Great little gun however the description is inaccurate. The grips are polymer AKA plastic not aluminum. I brought this to Derek's attention after receiving the item and he promised to make it up to me on the next purchase.
