Flat shooting and easy recoil compared to .44 Magnum. This is a reloaders gun as factory ammo is hard to come by some time and so reloading is your only real affordable choice. This is a top of the line smith, so it is as smooth as you would expect.

I did receive the product in only a few days. Opening the case I noted that the protective paper was shredded. #1 screw was "dinged' Trigger had a one inch scratch on its side.. While doing the initial cleaning the cylinder (crane, etc) fell out! I am now sending it to S and W. I do not know if the dealer or manufacturer is responsible but I question if this a new firearm.

Beautiful weapon. Good balance, fires smooth. A little more recoil than I anticipated but shoots very well. The bluing is perfect and the wood handles give it a classic look.

Smith and Wesson still sets the standard, and the .41 magnum is a sadly underrated and underutilized cartridge. The S&W bluing is so dep you can see your ancestors. Buds Customer Service is 100% as always. Great communication, speedy shipping and carefully packaged. Buds is always my first resort.

Awesome revolver. Shoots great with high powered 41M rounds as well as reduced power Cowboy(HSM) at 975ft/s. S&W always makes fine firearms. I just had to add a Henry in 41 Magnum...just cuz

Absolutely Beautiful. The grain in the grips is phenomenal. The finish of the metal is dark and flawless. This is my 1st .41 mag. and I regret not having one before. The ballistics of the 41 mag is awesome. The action and trigger pull is better than most of my other revolvers except maybe my 586. Puts out a wallop for recoil but the weight of the gun keeps it very manageable for quick follow up shots if needed. Overall a beautiful gun and a blast to shoot.

Great service from Buds! However S&W needs to work on their quality control with regard to the finishing. My Model 57 shoots great, good accuracy etc. The bluing wasn’t the quality of previous models I owned, and in some spots on the front of a cylinder I could still see the white where the finish did not take. just not the deep rich bluing that I have seen in the past from Smith and Wesson.
