This .22 rifle is a great intro rifle to introduce children to firearms in a safe manner. It has enough punch to give a good experience, but it is not intimidating in any way. I would highly recommend this rifle to introduce a younger generation to firearms or to use in a home defense setting.

If you like to shoot an AR platform, you will love this rifle. Well constructed, familiar feel, 100% reliable with Automatch ammo, and digests ammo at an alarming rate in the hands of grandkids. No complaints at all!

This is an excellent rifle for the money. I taught my daughter to shoot on this rifle and it emulates the controls of the AR-15 perfectly so graduating someone to the AR isn't much of a leap as the designs are similar. It is very reliable but tends not to like the subsonic ammo too much (at last on mine).

This 22 long rifle is excellent!!! I've put over 300 rounds through it and only a few mishaps. Great weight and fantastic sights. Bud's as usual was very quick and efficient with delivery.

I wanted to buy a 22 long rifle and decided on this Smith & Wesson 25 + 1 model (811030) yes I am very happy with it, because I have had no problem with it what so ever I have had it for about a year and have put just about any type of 22lr ammo through it like bulk pack Winchester 555, Winchester Super X, Federal auto match, American Eagle, CCI mini mag, CCI Standard Velocity, CCI Blazer and even the Remington Golden Bullet and have had only couple of hiccups after putting more than 1,000 to 1.500 rounds through it, it is just a great gun do not have any negative things to say about this rifle. Smith & Wesson has done a great job with this rifle, so if your thinking about buying a 22 long LR THIS IS IT YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

Picked the s&w mp 15-22 up on 3/5/14 from the ffl had to wait 3 days to get to. The range and test fire/break-In ... Was amazed how accurate this m4 is had some doubts but during the zeroing in period that all flew out the window ... Opt-ed to keep the iron sights which are peep after zeroing first target was at 25 yards shot the center out next went to 50 all shots where in the 10 ring and x ... When smith-Wesson said in the adds ... Tim cans are in trouble ... They ment it ... This is the standard .22 version and is the best .22 I've ever owned in rifle no second though needed on buying do it you won't regret it and kudos to s&w loving this m4

Now that I have had this Smith for a year, I thought that I would provide a review! My purchase led to two of my good friends buying their own. It is a blast to shoot. Just nice. The better the ammo, the better it shoots. That is true all of the time, right? I have upgraded the trigger to a single stage Timney and that is great. You will have to install anti-rotation pins to do this. It is well worth the effort. I have added a carry handle and a scope. Bought a few extra mags and I am a very happy camper! Great fun. Holds a great group. Low cost to shoot and I can shoot it at my local indoor range as well. Love it! The price has come down. Buy it now!!
