This thing is basically a thick steel pry bar that is virtually indestructible. It needs to be sharpened as it does not come sharp, but other than that it's a solid knife that can do a lot of things. It's not light, but for an all-around survival knife it can do most things. Its thickness makes it not the best for fine knife work, but if you couple this with something thinner like an inexpensive Mora knife, you're good to go for almost any task. Obviously, an axe would chop better, but in a pinch this thing will do its job. The handles are smooth and could use some more texture or grip, IMO. There is space between the handles to store things like fishing line, hooks, etc. I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't come sharp (which I think it should for the price), and the ergonomics and grips are not as good as some other options (although those options are more expensive).
