Love the gun it's fun to use and came factory new just had to clean the gun and align the sights but that's just standard.

I had a Browning mdl 92 in .357 which I loved but for some foolish reason sold it. I bought this Winchester mdl 92 in .357. Workmanship is excellent. The mdl 92 is one of my favorite guns to shoot. I wish Winchester had not put a tang safety on this rifle, but stuck to the traditional design, but that is just a personal thing; the gun works perfectly. A very high quality firearm.

My first lever action but I'm extremely happy with my purchase. I took the time and found this was the rifle I wanted. A couple weeks later buds got it in stock. Well made, action is smooth, and the sights are wonderful. I originally wanted to get a marbles tang sight but now I'm not sure. And ordering from buds was quick and easy.

The ordering experience was the usual from Bud's. Easy ordering process online, quick processing (it wasn't marked with a turtle or rabbit, so maybe the insanity is slowing down?), quick delivery to FFL. I think this was my 6th transaction with Bud's, and... I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEIR SERVICE OR THE PRODUCT PURCHASED. When I got to my FFL, the white box containing the Model 1892 (the firearm was made in Japan by Miroku) was in perfect condition. We opened up the box and took out the rifle to check it out. Of course, it was covered with that gunk that prohibits rust, but that's to be expected. I checked out the rifle, and the wood was immaculate, as were the metal surfaces. I worked the action a few times, found it to be smooth and easy to work. After getting it home, I gave it a good external cleaning. I checked the fit and finish again, and was very, very pleased. I cleaned the wood surface by rubbing it down with Renaissance Wax. This brought the satin, non-gloss finish to life and made the rifle look even better. I loaded it up with snap caps to test the function of the rifle, and came away pleased. It cycled through the snap caps (flat nose .357 mag) with no hitches whatsoever. I let my 14-year old do the same, and he had no problem working the action. The shells are ejected practically straight up in the air, with just about all of them falling slightly to the right. The ejection pattern will be impacted by how strongly and quickly one works the action. I can't wait to take this baby to the range to shoot. I almost feel sad to take it to the range and dirty it up, but no firearm I have ever bought has been a "safe queen." Thank you Bud's, and kudos to Winchester for designing a beautiful rifle. I'd like to get an 1892 in .44 Magnum and perhaps an 1894 in 30-30 (I just can't decide which version).

Got the order quickly as promised and could not wait to get it out to the range. This gun did not disappoint. The action is very smooth, the gun is accurate, and I shot 200 rounds of .357 and .38 spl without any problems. I was hitting silhouette targets at 100 meters no problem! I love the feel of this lever action gun. The sights could be a little better considering the price, but all in all, it's a great gun. Thanks Bud's! I will enjoy this one for years and then pass it down to my son.
