• Q: i wish to purchase a rifle for my daughter for her birthday she like lever action 30-30 i had a MARLIN when I first starting hunting the problem I have is she is a short girl 5ft 2in so her reach is not long. I had her try a marlin 30-30 compact she liked that one is this equal to it or not

  Thomas, yes Sir. Both have a 13.5 Inch length of pull so your daughter will be fine.

• Q: I'm a little hesitant about the laminate stock, how well does it hold up in various outdoor conditions?

  Harsh conditions, this is what you want Gary. One of the best current alternatives is laminated hardwood stocks. Formed under high pressure and heat, they are far stronger than generic plastic stocks, do not degrade with exposure to UV and humidity, do not absorb moisture, do not out gas, are more rigid and promote accuracy as a direct result of that rigidity. They have only one negative in the minds of many: as glue is used between the strips of wood, they may be heavy compared to thermoplastic stocks and are denser than natural walnut.
