Turkey's aren't safe within 50 yards of this shotgun. I didn't much like the red dot that came with this gun. I had thought of putting one of my EOTech sights on this. but settled on a Simmons 4x shotgun scope. At the range I used 3" #5 turkey shot and set up the scope at 50 yards. The pattern is perfect for turkeys. This shotgun cycles smoothly, is very easy on your shoulder and ergonomically pleasing to aim and shoot. No failures or jams of any kind. I highly recommend this shotgun and as always Buds was great.

I ordered this gun on Saturday afternoon and had it by the following Wednesday. Quick delivery. This gun is everything I expected and then some. I have been very pleased with the 870 SPS 12 Gauge Turkey Gun. The TruGlo scope needed a fair amount of adjusting, but it was no problem, and it has good visibility. I patterned the gun with Remington Longbeard XRs, choosing to replace the factory choke with an Indian Creek, and was really pleased with the groupings at 25+ yards -- tight and consistent in distribution of pellets. The gun is as light and short as it can be. The pistol grip took a bit of getting used to, but it is a huge help in stability and handling. Overall, a great product for the price, and a fine gun.

This turkey gun is A+. It is a natural fit for me and my eye goes straight to dot upon shouldering weapon. It is a true turkey slayer up close and on out there. Loves 3.5" #5 Longbeards through a Carlsons LB .660 turkey choke. I love this weapon.

Love the gun, great service from Buds. I liked the idea of the upgraded super mag 870, happy with my decision to make the purchase. Will use for dedicated turkey and probably buy a slug barrel for deer eventually. For the gun: camo looks nice, scope has 0 magnification and a single dot (red or green with brightness setting). The wingmaster choke patterns nice for turkey. 25 yards obliterated the target, nice pattern at 40 yards. Would kill at 50 yards. I'm hunting with it for turkey without upgrading the choke this year. Very light, pistol grip is comfortable. Kick with 3 1/2 Remington Nitros 5 shot are not too bad.

Felt plasticy. Sometimes the slides would bind when racking another shot and the camo showed some white spots where it would meet metal components. (removed a star for aforementioned reasons) Included red-dot works fine. Great choke and great pattern. I even used it to shoot clays with (sans red dot). The stock was really great for mitigating recoil energy.

I love this gun! Great camo pattern and super comfortable to hold. The camo pattern appears to be a lot "greener" than the image but I like it for Spring turkey season. I have two other Rem 870's but this is my favorite. The thumb hole and rubber grips, along with the shorter barrel, make this very maneuverable. Great for blind hunter or tree sitting. The pistol-like grip makes it easier to handle the recoil if you choose to use 3 1/2" shells. Bud's was great. Very helpful customer service in answering questions and arrived at my door very quickly!
