I bought this shotgun for sporting clay use only and so far it has performed flawless. Looks as good or better than my friends expensive shotguns and shoots as good as any. Can't beat the price for the quality you get.

Bought this SA-08 12 gauge partly because the SA-08 28 gauge I bought two years ago has been such a joy to hunt & target shoot with that I had to have the 12. Have put 500 rounds of multiple brands and energy levels of target rounds through this gun using the "low-recoil" piston. It gobbles up anything except for the extremely low powered 1 oz. loads @ 1,060 fps which fail to eject. I have not tried any high velocity loads since this shotgun, for me, is intended primarily for skeet & sporting clays. I have no doubt that it will handle the H.V. Stuff if need be...as it's 28 guage little brother does.This 12 gauge SA-08 is a joy to shoot and a beautiful gun to look at; the stock, checkering, barrel bluing, chrome lined barrel, fit and finish are way above it's price point and cleaning after a day afield is quick and easy for a gas gun. Do I love my Weatherbys? Yep, I really do.
