Been looking for a long time for a dissipator type AR. I didn't care to have the collapsable butt-stock since I'm a taller guy 6'2", plus my beard won't get caught on a fixed stock. The fixed stock is even good enough for my wife to use comfortably, and she's a foot shorter than I. Slapped on an NCStar rail underneath along with my grip pod and it looks great. Being a military man I'm fairly decent at hitting targets around 300 meters with my irons on a standard M4, so on this baby, with the extended sight radius on a carbine barrel, it's no problem. Dumped 120 rounds through it on the first day and not a single flaw. The barrel is a bit heavier than a normal carbine but it shouldn't be a problem for any one. All in all, this a great product from DPMS and ordering with Buds was superb (my first order with them). Took a couple of weeks, but shipping it from their warehouse all the way to Montana is a haul. Thanks Buds for an awesome rifle. You'll be dealing with me again!!

Great gun, little bit on the heavy side but I love it. Had a small amount of rust on the lower screw in the butt plate but that was no big deal. This was the first gun I ordered from Buds but it will definitely not be the last. You guys are great.

I had been looking at "dissipator" style ARs for a long time before deciding on this one. I was not disappointed. The rifle length gas system and heavy barrel make this rifle a dream to shoot. I cleaned it and went straight to the range. It took all of 9 rounds to sight it in and then it was off to the races. I put 500 rounds of Speer 64gr LE through it without so much as a hiccup. GREAT accuracy and FAST follow up shots. The Tactical 16 is definitely heavier than your carbines, but it makes up for it in smoothness and accuracy with the rifle length sight radius. It had been a long time since I'd shot a fixed stock AR, and I do believe I actually prefer the feel of it over the adjustable stocks. The full length handguard is also a plus for us tall lanky guys. Buds was fast and easy to deal with. I highly recommend this rifle.
