This is my baby. I've had this gun a little over a year now and I still look at it in awe after a good cleaning. I've done some minor upgrades through Wilson Combat but you definitely don't need to. Out of the box, this gun is super accurate with a nice, crisp trigger. I've put maybe 1000+ rounds through it and I've never had a jam. This is a very reliable weapon. The only thing I would recommend is to find one that comes with better sights. You can always swap them out yourself if you don't want to spend the extra money at the time of purchase. Overall, it's a great home defense gun and I do not regret this purchase whatsoever. Cheers.

I had done quite a lot of research on the Beretta 96A1 before making the purchase for I wanted my first pistol to be a perfect one. Needless to say, the Beretta 96A1 really lives up to its name. I am quite glad and satisfied with this pistol being my first one. It is indeed perfect for me - not to also mention that the 96A1 is iconic in its own right. I should also mention that dealing with Buds Gun Shop was extremely pleasant. The item arrived to my FFL within two days, a lot faster than I had expected. I definitely will buy with Buds again.

Alright so this is the first pistol I have purchased and I have to say it was the best decision I could have made. The Beretta makes a great first pistol to own and it is so smooth and easy to use that shooting was a breeze. Great workmanship, light recoil, very accurate and just the way it looks I was sold. The price was a little higher than I wanted to spend on my first pistol but once I received it and took it to the range the price was well worth it. I was even given the privilege to name my own price and saved a few bucks under the suggested price...Score!!! I read a lot of pros and cons for Beretta but in the end the Beretta brand and this model was well worth it and I am sold on the Beretta name. Buds was great as well, I was a little nervous at first since it was my first time purchasing online but the customer service and updates received left me feeling like Buds was a company I could trust. One thing I will say is that the trigger and spring rod are of a plastic material (everything else metal) which I recently replaced but worked well with no complaints.

I'm up to 250 rounds now and with the exception of the one defective magazine its as reliable as can be. I am contacting Beretta to have the one mag replaced. I was glad that had marked the magazine the first time it happened, because then it was easy to determine that it was only the magazine. Beretta sends three with this model. I also picked up two more from MDS. Those two make the gun work perfectly as well. In my time with it so far, I can tell you that the gun is better than I am. I can highly recomend the Beretta 96A1 as it shoots great, shoots reliably and is easy to disassemble and clean. I also highly recommend Bud's to anyone who asks.
