By far one of the best 20gauge slug shooter's available, great quality and straight shooter

This gun is very accurate! Trigger is fantastic straight out of the box, without making any adjustments. The only concern I have is will the bullets feed properly from the magazine. I'm hoping there is a break in period that is causing this failure to feed issue. Nonetheless, if I have to keep the magazine out and feed by hand, the accuracy can't be beat!

Gun arrived on time. I cleaned the gun and found a light coating of rust, inside and out. I don't know if it's a Bud's or Savage problem. I have received other guns from Bud's and I haven't experienced this before so I'm blaming this on Savage. After cleaning and lube the shotgun shot as advertised with the Remington AccuTips being the best groups. I had no problem with feeding or ejection as long as you didn't cycle the bolt slowly. I will try it out in the woods this week.

I purchased this savage 220 for slug hunting only state, this 20 gauge holds 1" groups at 100 yards, Hornady SST slugs groups the best out of my gun.

The 1st day I took it in the woods i harvest two deer with it so far its a all around great gun

Buds does a great job as always. I have never had an issue delivery of any products. This gun in particular is one of the most interesting and fun guns to shoot in Ohio. I mounted a fairly inexpensive Bushnell Dusk to Dawn scope on it and the combination is terrific. My 13 year old smoked his first deer (8pt) with this gun and it was wicked hot. Used Hornaday SST sabot slugs that seems to work very well.

Buds was great. After receiving the shotgun in new condition I purchased the EGW rail, Warne Medium Height Rings and a Bushnell Trophy XLT Circle-X Reticle Shotgun Scope, 1.75-4x. The mount, rings, and scope worked great. I have only done very limited shooting so far but I'm very impressed. I used Federal Powershok 2 3/4 slugs. I was hitting the bull after four shots at 50 yards. The recoil was about like shooting my .243. I have never been more confident in a slug gun than this one. I've had the cantilever barrel for my mossberg pump and it is ok. This thing shoots like my .243 by comparison. I'm happy to say that the reviews I've read before purchasing were true. This is a light weight slug gun that handles and shoots like a rifle. (within its range) Too bad that I only have ten days out of the year that I can use it for its intended purpose. Look out white tails...I have a new level of confidence.
