I have shot at least 100 rounds through my Savage 300 Win Mag since I purchased it last December and this is the first bullet that I found that is accurate and groups really well. Thanks Buds Gun Shop.

The Winchester 300 Winchester Magnum 180 grain features a Nosler Ballistic Tip bullet that is coated with what Winchester refers to as Lubalox. This coating isn't considered Moly, but it helps with reducing fouling inside the barrel. This Nosler Ballistic Tip bullet is designed to retain 55 - 60 percent weight retention, and this is a good round for Elk and Black Bear sized game. Firing this round out of a 26 inch barrel with a 1-10 twist, yields on the average 1/2-3/4 inch MOA accuracy at 100 yards distance.
