What can I say, it is a Mossberg. Had them in the Army and trust this one at home. I like this model with the 18.5 inch barrel and the ghost ring sights. Runs slugs, buckshot and anything else reliably and accurately. I sleep well at night with this at my bedside. Thanks Bud's!

These are the best pump shotguns made today in my opinion. Built tough and reliable to mil specs. On the 18 inch model I put on a tube extension to get 7 + 1. See Twang and Bang's video on Youtube.

Excellent rugged shotgun that can tackle the elements. I bought this shotgun from Buds almost a year ago. The ghost ring sights are excellent and easy to shoot slugs with. After hundreds of shells, this Mossberg only locked up on me once but I believe was due to user error, every other time it functioned flawlessly. A word of advice, make sure you oil the outside of the barrel and the magazine tube because they rust very easily. I personally use Eezox, it is perfect for rust prevention. If you want a shotgun that is rugged, dependable and meant to be used and abused, this is it.

Just got the gun yesterday and put a few rounds through it today. It is a very good Shotgun, Built to Military standards and it shows! This thing is pretty heavy, Not "Oh my god" heavy, But still a bit on the hefty side for its size. But that is a good thing, If you ever run out of ammo, You could just use the barrel as a club! All joking aside, This is a very good. Sturdy reliable Shotgun. I would trust my life with this without hesitation. Some people complain that the bead is better than ghost rings for faster target acquisition, But I have no problems what-so-ever with them. I'm going to get a stock with a pistol grip and a +2 Magazine extension from S&J Hardware(Canadian company) for it next month, then it will be the perfect Home Defense/SHTF firearm!

I am so happy i did not get the 20inch barrel because the 18.5 is just the right length for home defense.Bottom line i am very glad with my purchase, thanks budsgunshop.

I own a number of handguns, but finally decided to buy a shotgun in order to have the ultimate home defense weapon. I was torn between the Mossberg 590A1 and the Remington 870 tactical. The Mossberg is priced a little better and the Remington was out of stock, so I went with the 590A1. I was happy with it as soon as I opened the box. This is a nice looking gun. No, it's not a museum piece, but it is a sharp looking gun with great lines. It's the perfect size for carrying comfortably, nice weight, easy to handle. It appears to be well made, with good solid construction. I love shooting my handguns at the range, but this is the gun I will go for when my family's lives depend on it. I would not want to be staring down the business end of this bad boy as an intruder! Thanks to Bud's for making this purchase incredibly easy. Paid on 1/2, picked it up from my FFL 1/7.
