The 212 Slug Gun is a 12-gauge shotgun featuring a highly specialized bolt action shotgun that obsoletes the traditional shotgun with a rifled barrel. The 220 features AccuTrigger, a feature offering user-adjustable trigger pull, so there's no need for a gunsmith to modify it. AccuTrigger also provides a crisp, clean trigger pull, which enhances accuracy. The detachable box magazine and blued carbon steel barrel are set in a synthetic stock with cut checkering, finished in Mossy Oak Infinity and swivel studs. It comes with an over-sized bolt handle and is drilled and tapped for scope mounts.

My gun took forever to finally arrive due to the covid 19 situation, but when I finally got it I was very pleasantly surprised by it. The look of it was so much better than the picture. The weight is very nice too. There's really nothing I can say negatively about it. I bought 3 different types of ammo to sight in my scope and although it gave minor ejection problems it fired flawlessly. I will definitely order through Buds again, but not until this current situation has ended.

Sadly the gun does not feed 2 3/4 slugs. Will feed 3 inch slugs just fine. Bought a spare magazine with my gun order coincidently and same results so it’s something with the gun. Will have to work with Savage on getting it fix. If you YouTube Savage 212 feeding problems you can see a video in regards to the issue I am speaking about. As of now I’m rating it towards the bad end of things. When it comes to bolt action shotguns you really only have the Savage 212, 220, and the Browning A Bolt. Due to numerous of good reviews I went with the Savage and when I bought it, it did cost more then the Browning A Bolt... kind of regretting the decision. Nonetheless the gun shoots fine with single loaded 2 3/4 and feeds properly with 3 inch slugs. I was just not expecting to have an issue with my first Savage firearm due to the numerous of good reviews it haves on the internet. Hopefully Savage pulls through and fixes this issue. If the process is smooth I’ll up my stars in the review.

What a great rifle, yes I said rifle, getting 1 1/2” groups at a100yds, what a slug gun, looks great, feels great and shoots great, highly recommend, love it, and a big shout out to Buds they have done it again for me, I’ve bout many Guns from Buds, never been a problem, THANKS BUDS!!!
