So the Blackhawks shell ejecter won't work on the 30 caliber brass. The ejecter isn't machined for the smaller holes in thecylinder? ����

Ruger products should speak for themselves. They make an excellent product for the price.

It's a Ruger Blackhawk. That says most of it. This gun it a great compliment to M1 Carbine. Bud's again had super pricing and service.

Great service and a great product..

Slapped a Weaver 4X handgun scope on it and with Remington soft-noses it's consistently nailing <2 inch groups at 50 yards (benched, of course). Try it! This one's made to get scoped. Not much else to say - it's as awesome a revolver as any Ruger Blackhawk, and a ton o' fun!

Love this gun! No problem reloading .30 carbine rounds, and they're easy to shoot. Using factory ammo I've routinely hit a 100 yd. target with it. No bullseyes, but at least I hit the paper!!

I've been wanting one of these to compliment my .30 M1 Carbine ever since I shot my brother-in-law's Ruger over 40 years ago. I must say, I'm disappointed at the quality. The cylinder is sloppy even when it locks up and the trigger pull is creepy with an uncertain break. OK, so I realize that a good trigger job usually costs more but there's no excuse for such a sloppy cylinder on a nearly-$500 revolver. Also, the cheap plastic grips are a poor fit with sharp edges and over-mold but I ordered a Hogue walnut grip which should correct the matter. The good news is that (otherwise) it functions fine and shoots straight (for an old man like me). You'll need good hearing protectors with this SA revolver but the bark is worse than it's bite since muzzle energy and felt-recoil is significantly less than a .357 magnum. I give this revolver only 3-stars because it's quality is not what it should be. Shame on Ruger for this substandard revolver! Regardless, THANKS BUD! This makes over 25 guns & actions I've purchased through your gun shop since 2009.

My ruger blackhawk in 30 carbine is one of may favorite shooters. Great accuracy, tame recoil, loud without hearing protection. The trigger has a little creep due to being a ruger, but it's pretty smooth. I'd recomend replacing the grips, Pachmeyer and Houge make decent rubber grips for these that fit big hands better than the originals. I originally purchased this caliber for the novelty factor, but I've found it's an excellent hunting round for small grouse, etc due to the small holes it punches in them.

Excellent service and fast shipping from Buds Gun Shop. The revolver has a minor defect: the ejection rod was out of alignment and it would not eject spent shells. Ruger factory contacted. They paid for shipping both ways and I had my repaired Blackhawk back in just over a week. Great service from Ruger, as usual. Buds Gun Shop is now my first place to shop!
