Awesome addition to my collection. Have only shot 50 rounds through it but right out of the box accuracy was exactly what I would expect. Very smooth to shoot, comfortable in my hand, and purchased at a good price!

The Ruger Blackhawk .45 colt is extremely well made, accurate, dependable, enjoyable to shoot and a classic looking revolver. Get yourself some big bore fun. I ordered this gun a week before Christmas with low expectations of seeing it in time, but picked it up 4 days later! After watching the auction sites for weeks looking for a bargain, I got the exact gun I wanted, brand new, quickly and at a very good price here at Buds. I will be back.

I have 3 other SAA revolvers in 45 LC but none of them I could put a hot load in. When this new model Blackhawk popped up on Buds I snagged it. The site came from the factory moved a bit to the left but was hitting right on target. The gun felt good but the plastic grips with heavy loads really tenderized my hand. I will find some better grip panels. Maybe some hogue. I’m not sure yet.

The front sight on mine was bent upon receiving it. Not enough for me to send it back. I enjoy shooting this revolver more than any of my other pistols. Highly recommended.

Did not have a .45 Colt in my collection for shooting and reloading, so looked hard at the various offerings before settling on this gun. Bought a 6.5” Ruger Blackhawk .357 in 1964, and have fired thousands of rounds through it, some .357s, but primarily hot, hand-loaded .38 Specials. Absolutely no problems over those many years, so I am a long-time Ruger fan. This .45 Colt 5.5” model promises more of the same. Excellent feel and handling. Have fired only cowboy-type commercial rounds and hand-loaded rounds using Trail Boss powder through it, but it’s exactly what I had hoped for regarding toned-down recoil. I’m one of those old guys with arthritis down the back of the hands and in the wrists, so am not interested in booming out with the biggest gun at the range. This gun is satisfying to shoot, and accuracy is first-rate (after a couple of tweaks to sight windage). The only minor irritation I’ve experienced is when opening the loading gate, which has become a safety feature for locking the hammer against accidental discharge. The old .357’s gate is smooth and easy to open/close--just as its predecessors were century before last. Opening the gate of this .45 is not smooth and fluid, although it is certainly not a reason for not buying the gun. All in all, an excellent piece of work that feels good to hold, shoots where aimed, and is an outstanding value.

Ordered the Ruger Blackhawk 45 LC with the 5.5 imch barrel, from Bud's Guns. This Ruger single action pistol is execellent in quality and even better than Bud's described it. I am exteremely pleased with the pistol and will order only from Bud's in the future. Don't however be in a hurry to receive your order as once I had ordered the pistol, it took two weeks to receive my order.. So be patient when ordering, it may take your order up to a couple of weeks to arrive. I am very happy with my purchase, Thank yous Bud's.

Great gun, but I knew it would be. It's a Ruger. I put 300 rounds through it so far. Shoots great. I love the rear adjustable sight. Only took about a dozen rounds and few clicks to get it sighted in. Quick shipping. Thanks Buds.
