• Q: I have look on the state website and I can not find any Ruger products. Is there another name it goes by and is it legal in California?

  Yes sir the ruger 10/22 is CA legal "Permitted:
  ✔ All rimfire caliber rifles with a magazine capacity of 10 rounds or fewer (e.g.: .22LR, .17HMR, etc.) are permitted, excluding rifles with tubular magazines in lever-action firearms, which do not have magazine restrictions. Rimfire caliber ​rifles​are not considered “assault weapons” and can have features that centerfire rifles cannot."

• Q: Hi,
  looking to buy this rifle , take it apart and install a HTA kit on it.
  I see many Ruger 10/22 standard, deluxe , etc, is the difference in the rifle quality/mechanism or just in the body/buttstock of the rifle.

  The main differences are simply the aesthetics/looks of the rifle. The 1022 action is the same. My deluxe is basically the same as my standard. There are others that have heavy barrels and stuff. Just mean for different purpose. Ruger quality is top notch.

• Q: Can this rifle be purchased with a straight magazine. They had a round (circular magazine) that was difficult to load. If they can be ordered with the straight magazine, could that mag have a thumbnail pulldown, which would make it easy to load?

  Just buy Ruger factory mags and you’ll be fine. You can get 15 round mags and 25 round mags. Butler Creek makes some also, but Ruger’s are more reliable.

• Q: I like the Standard Manufacturing Tommy gun but it is expensive plus out of stock. Are there any options for mods like a Tommy?

  Are there any options like a Tommy gun...hmm. Do you mean converting to a Thompson? If so, check out this website called 1022fungun.com. They have some modification options for a Ruger 10/22. To me it is expensive for the parts but will cost less than the Standard Manufacturing model. Plus the reliability of a 10/22 is great. Thank you.
