If you love single shots and the .375 H&H this is a GREAT combo! It's compact, fast on target, hits like Thor's hammer, easy to carry, and balances in the hand very well when you stalk. If' you have never shot a .375 H&H you'll need some "training" to handle the recoil. This rifle is about 8 1/4 lbs WITHOUT a scope. Once you learn how to handle this rifle it's a BLAST! It's better to shoot this rifle from field positions, as the bench will make your shoulder sore after awhile. If you are going to put a scope on the rifle get one with LONG eye relief. This rifle requires the long eye relief because of the design AND the caliber choice.
