What’s the difference between this “Bisley” version and the regular version?

Jason, just the "Bisley Grips" and the full length Barrel Top Strap with Scope Mount Points.

I thought this revolver was CA approved. But doesn't show n CA approved guns on the website. Just want to make sure before I put my order. Thanks

Yes! This is good for California (https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/feeds/state_reg/california_restrictions.pdf) - Permissible handguns that are NOT on the handgun roster: 1. Single-action revolvers that have at least a 5 round capacity with a barrel length of at least 3 inches and an overall length of at least 7.5 inches are permitted.

I wish but no, this is not CA approved. When you look for firearms, you can find the section that has California compliant ones. Sorry

You can simply type in the words "California Compliant" in the Buds search bar window and this will bring up a large list of items approved for California sales. This helps many people narrow their search results and prevents finding so many firearms you want and can have. This is a great reference and may not include the newest approved firearms though. So its still good to check if youre still uncertain.

This by far is the Best gun in my collection, Ruger's Super Blackhawk is really made we'll, good looking, craftsmanship is beautiful and handles the 44 mag load with ease. Everyone wants to hold it and admire it's beauty, really you can go wrong buying and owning this awesome revolver.

This Super Blackhawk 44 mag is a good shooting revolver but the finishing is not great. There are some machine marks and galling inside the cylinder housing that make me wonder about River’s quality and attention to detail. For the price, I expected better.

I really like this revolver. I mounted a extended eye relief Leupold scope and feel pretty good to 100 yards. So far no opportunities to harvest any wildlife with it. It is a little rough on your second finger on recoil when placed behind the trigger guard. I have big hands.

Beautiful revolver but a few minor issues. Overall, satisfied with the purchase, had the item on layaway and am glad to finally have it, I have put 100 rounds of 44 magnum through it with no issues, shoots a little left out of the box but easy to adjust the rear sight for windage. Only issues were minor and cosmetic. The top of barrel with the serrations to cut down on glare had three light rust spots, easily removed with locktite naval jelly rust remover but disappointing to see that on a new gun, also the firearm has a small scratch on the frame just above the right grip panel on the back strap. Also, kinda a buzz kill on an otherwise accurate, reliable and cool firearm. These issues likely were due to improper storage or handling. I am ok with these issues but if you are a stickler then be aware. Other things to note: If seam lines bug you then you should know the hammer appears to be a cast part with a seam running down the middle of the striking face of the hammer, this is likely a cost saving measure. Overall, for the price I would recommend this firearm as a shooter or workhorse 44 magnum.
