The Model 700 LS beautifully blends the layered light and dark tones of its laminated stock with the satin finish of its blued barrel. As beautiful as it is functional, the resin impregnated laminated stock provides exceptional strength, dimensional stability, and all weather durability. The stock includes a revolutionary Remington R3 recoil pad, a Monte Carlo comb with raised cheekpiece, hinged floor plate magazine, and swivel studs. The action is the same legendary Model 700 action and is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. All rifles are fitted with 24-inch barrels that are clean without sights. Magnum and short magnum calibers feature magnum contour barrels while short and long action caliber include standard contour barrels.

First i would like to thank buds for yet another outstanding transaction. I was always a little skeptical on the Remington 700 after the trigger issues and the fact that savages are just outstanding out of the box, but i went ahead and purchased the 700 anyway. It is a absolutely gorgeous rifle, very well made, solid and shoots like a dream. Very impressed to say the least.

Fantastic rifle! I've gotten multiple of compliments on the stock. The blueing is a nice satin finish (not the matte finish on the tactical rifles). Trigger pull is a little heavy out of the box, but crisp. Rifle achieved a 1" 3-shot group @ 100 yards while sighting in w/ 150 grain Hornady SST factory-loaded ammo. For an out-of-the-box hunting rifle, what more can you ask for? Curious what it can do with trigger work and hand loads... Great price, beautiful rifle, would recommend to a friend! Side Note: Bud's has the barrel listed as 24", but it's actually 22", which was a bonus IMO.
