Axis rifles save money without sacrificing performance. Savage didn't design a cheaper rifle; they designed a better way to make a Savage, including pillar-bedded barrels with more uniform cooling and greater consistency. These Axis rifles feature a modern design with silky-smooth bolt operation and a detachable box magazine. Drilled and tapped for scope mounts, these XP models come with a 3-9x40 matte blued scope, already mounted and bore-sighted, so it is ready to go on the hunt when you are. They also have a camo synthetic stock coupled with a 22" matte black carbon steel barrel to allow for multi-purpose shooting in multiple locales.

Nice looking gun ,, very fast shipping good tracking info,, buds delivers as always,, the gun shoots good ,, although the clip is very hard to get in and out, it takes a few attempts to get it to click locked,, also it is very difficult to load a round manually into the chamber it will not just slide right in , you almost have to use the mag.. the scope is OK , slightly fat cross-hairs,, I like very fine cross-hairs, and the focus at high magnification is poor under 60 yards or so, but i would get one w/o a scope if I did it again and would get a better scope, over all i am happy w/ it and will shoot confidently

trigger a little rough but great hunting gun and very accurate i bought 2 of them 1 in .223 and 1 in .243 both nice . bought many guns through bud's and every transaction was a+ these guys are great
